Was incredibly impressed with it. The cinematic landscapes were just gorgeous and set the mood.
Will continue to watch it.

Love how they explored how these AI's are becoming self aware because they can start accessing former memories that were supposed to be blocked, are starting to recognize what's going on around them and questioning their existence. It appears that the older the AIs get with their existence and adding all those memory fragments, the more their piecing the puzzle together and it's inevitable they rebel against humans and their creators.

You saw where this was starting to go as soon as their inventor, Dr. Wood, was talking about how humanity is doomed going forward at this point and has such a connection with the AIs.

I thought Evan Rachel Wood's character as Delores really stood out.

Don't want to spoil anything too much so won't talk details about ep 1 for a few more days.

What I appreciated is they could of easily gone with a "Lost" type of script writing where everything is about leaving all these stupid unanswered questions on purpose to create tension and drama. The script flowed well, even if they went with the predictable "all humans are dumb aholes or greedy scum" and the AI's are superior to us because of the way we abuse them for our selfish pursuits.

I wonder what could possibly carry it other than the CGI Will it be Crichton's original story? JJ Abrams average directing? Mediocre actors Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris?

I just don't see how it will last??

in the scene where wyatts group attacks teddy and his group ... did a guest die among teddys group? ie was the guy stabbed repeatedly a guest? Wasnt the guy who got stabbed, the guy who made a comment to the effect of "i wanted to be somewhere else"

I watched it late last night and I meant to rewatch the scene but gotta wait to do that til this evening

I'm pretty sure the guy that said that they should have gone on the riverboat was led back to town by the deputy.

So far I think its great.
