Replace Spurs and Warriors with the Cavs, as well as few months to year and a half; you would've described yourself via everyone's point of view perfectly.
Funny how I was thinking the same thing after reading that.

It'll be interesting to see what the book you post here will say about RW when OKC looses. You're fooling nobody- now you're back to supporting RW because you & most other Cavs fans think the best chance your team has at winning a title is if they play OKC. And most of us would agree that is their best chance of the two options left.

But, I think you've let one game get you far ahead of yourself. Just like you've said, they play each game for a reason & they still have at least 3 more games to go before they can be celebrated for making it to the Finals. I'm inclined to think them only making the Finals once in the past six seasons isn't a coincidence.
Yeah.....

Once in the past six seasons.

Which is just as many as a few other teams, and a WHOLE lot more than most.

They had two separate years where at least one of their two best scorers went down to injury...in the playoffs.

But let's not make excuses. You're exactly right. Only one trip in 6 seasons.

That means that OKC advancing to the finals again, and GOD FORBID winning a championship would mean that they were some sort of mutant abberration that stumbled upon such great luck that the Devil and a contract MUST be involved somehow.........right?

OKC totally outplayed GS and the scoreboard proved it. Giving up a 13 point lead at halftime is the all time playoff choke since 1953. Glad to see that the refs didn't give the game to GS like they did in a few of their previous wins.
I don't think that's the all time playoff choke.

That Game 2 Heat vs Mavs in 2011 Finals is still the worst for me. We could have won the series..

What Adams said is reprehensible. He should be suspended the next 6 games. Durant and Westbrook need to be suspended 6 games also for not correcting him right away, as good leaders should do. Kanter should be suspended 6 games because they have matching mustaches.

Matching mustaches!! :spit:

Just realized that after tomorrow, these 2 teams don't play until Sunday Night. I was so looking forward to rushing home Friday night to watch game 3. I'm bummed out

That game changed the entire reflection of that series. That game 3 win in Dallas was meaningless as I always went back to that game 2. I remember thinking "we could've been up 3-0 and the series would've been just about over (although Dallas maybe comes out with a different approach in game 3)".

Last couple days have been busy and I haven't been on here.

I don't get why everyone is talking about the Warriors taking "quick shots" and having "bad shot selection" in Game 1.

That's who the Warriors have been all season long. If you made a montage of every FGA by Steph and Klay this season (without including the result of the shot) and showed it to a panel of coaches (in an alternate universe where no one knows Steph or Klay).... they would all have angry conniptions about how awful their shot selection is.

Their shot selection is completely terrible and has been all year long. Expect its not terrible because its Steph and Klay and they make an incredible amount of those shots.

Why should they change who they are in the playoffs? It has worked very well for them. That's how they play... they just didn't go down in the 2nd half. Partly because of OKC's tenacity and length but partly, imo, because sometimes shots just don't go down.

If you have a problem with their shot selection in the 4th quarter of game 1... then you should have a problem with their shot selection all year long, imo.

It doesn't make any sense that the Cavs-Raptors get two games in between Games 2 and 3 of GS-OKC. They should have definitely scheduled one Friday

Yeah, its weird. Or... if they want to maximize Saturday and Sunday... give both teams a 2-day break. Put Warriors on Saturday, Cavs on Sunday... and keep alternating like that.

I'm guessing its because they wanted the WCF for Sunday's primetime slot since its going to draw more ratings than the ECF.

Yeah. If any team of the 4 remaining a extended break between games, it would be Toronto....Not the Dubs or Thunder

You'll have to help me out here, but I haven't seen many posts relating to shot selection. Carelessness and lack of offense was their undoing in the 2nd half.

Yeah bc it could very well be 3-0 Cavs when GS-OKC go into Game 3 say 1-1. The Cavs if they keep it up could very well get another week off in rest before the Finals. It's crazy to think about! Possibly more than 3 weeks of rest during the playoffs.

There were a couple... but I was mostly referring to the media and analysts on the post game coverage.

I agree that the turnovers cost them.

Their style of play, imo, lends to looking "careless" when shots don't fall. When they are falling and they are winning it is called "free flowing", "relaxed", "playing loose". When the shots aren't falling and they lose it is called "carelessness", "rushed shots", "impatience".

I suppose nobody here is giving the Thunder a snow balls chance in hell of winning tonight?

Tonight is probably the closest thing to a must-win game the Warriors have had since Game 4 of the Finals last year.

While its not completely crazy to think that the Warriors could come back and win 4 of the final 5.... if the Thunder win tonight... the probability of the Warriors winning the series would take a HUGE hit.

For those reasons I expect an incredibly determined and focused Warriors team. I think the Thunder have to play better than Game 1 to get it done.... but there is plenty of room for that.

If they could possibly win both in GS, not likely, that would be pretty crazy like historic crazy considering they only lost 2 home games all season. OKC is playing really well and it's still crazy they won the last one the way KD and Westbrook shot. I think this is actually a really good matchup for the Thunder bc they are so big inside, well just when I say that Warriors probably win 4 straight lol

yep, we probably see one of those games Curry or maybe Klay can't miss and it starts raining 3's. It would be an incredible feat if the Thunder could pull another one out but doubtful. 2-0 going to OKC would be very hard to comeback from but still possible in GS's case.

I think the Warriors will win- but this is the first time they have really had significant pressure on their shoulders.

They cant go to OKC after losing 2 at home. Its a MUST WIN tonight for the Warriors. I cant wait to see how they respond.

I love the fact that RW just doesnt care though- he doesnt care about 73 wins, he doesnt care about home court, about must win games, about steph curry- he doesnt care about any of it--- all he cares about is ripping out the heart of whoever is lining up across from him.
