It's fricking unreal, Dude.

He's what, 22 and from a different Country.

It is so obvious that's not what he meant.

I watched the interview and it didn't even register that he said it and I'm black....

I saw the article on the front page of MSN.com and cringed >:(.

Yeah. Too many want to things out of context just so they can have something to be offended and outraged by.

I think the fact that he apologized means he understood how someone might perceive it in a negative manner.

I think it was explained to him that there are people in this country who like to get offended and outraged at even the most innocent of comments. I'd bet the whole time he was apologizing, he was thinking "This is unbelievably stupid that people are actually upset by that."

And it doesn't matter what stratosphere it's in-since we're not comparing the comments themselves. I said it was "stupid" just like most of the comments that LBJ makes-which tends to make a lot of the media outlets.

For me, there's a huge difference. When Lebron says the stupid stuff that he does, he knows what he's doing. I agree with Mecca that Adams probably had no idea that someone would actually be offended by that.

LOL...so you're saying that RW can shoot you in or shoot you out of a game...I played with a guy like that...helter-skelter, except he wasn't the PG. We rode him when he was hot, froze him when he was not.

I wouldn't say out of control, but I get your point. On this night he did shoot them back in it...they way OKC is made up though...either KD or RW has to go off or they're going to lose against this level of talent.

On the road especially, they got a big bonus with Waiters knocking down some shots....kicking to Ibaka deep on the wing or corner doesn't scare me.

Westbrook shooting is one thing...his drives are another...he makes Adams, and Kanter effective on OFC, whether off the dish or getting a rebound put back because somebody had to help against Westbrook.

I actually thought Westbrook, while he didn't shoot well overall, was IN CONTROL last night. KD was the player not in control, mainly in the 1st half with a lot of sloppy turnovers, just bonehead passes mainly. Then in the 2nd half he simply couldn't make shots, even wide open, and Westbrook went on that spurt in the 3rd and in the 4th made some key defensive plays causing turnovers leading to points. He was the best player on the court and it wasn't close despite shooting poorly from the field.

Bingo. I will admit Lebron loves to stir the pot, this guy was just clueless and didn't mean anything bad IMO. Lebron knows the right times to run his mouth but that's who he is lol. Sometimes he even says it with a smile but we all know he is serious, which is funny

What Adams said is reprehensible. He should be suspended the next 6 games. Durant and Westbrook need to be suspended 6 games also for not correcting him right away, as good leaders should do. Kanter should be suspended 6 games because they have matching mustaches.

I agree that the media stirs things a bit until it's completely out of control. But, there has to be some self awareness on the parts of these athletes and other famous people. Having the media thrust every comment you make onto the internet or front pages of magazines is something they signed up for-whether they like it or not.

So while you may not think it was stupid I do because they have to know everything they say/do will be scrutinized. It may not have been offensive to you or I, but to someone else it might be which is the reason the media puts it on blast in the first place.
damn....he really flustered your jimbobs dint he?

Exactly...didn't shoot well, but effected the game in several ways....it wasn't close.

I agree he came alive in the 3rd-but one good quarter doesn't mean he was the best player on the court IMO. I think it was KD. He played the most consistent throughout the game.

You obviously didn't watch the game lol. He shot horrible, missed wide open shots, threw careless passes in the 1st half mainly (5 TO's in all) and he only had 3 assists. He did defend well I will say but overall probably his second worst game all postseason.

This playoffs just shows why Russell Westbrook is such an OG....

I cant even BEGIN to describe all the blubbering and fawning over the Spurs and Warriors we have had to listen to over the last few months. To hear those teams described it would seem they freaking INVENTED the game of basketball- and that the REAL title game was between GSW and SAS in the WCF and no one else should even bother showing up.....that all those regular season wins made them untouchable some how.

Russell Westbrook thought all that build up was a bunch of horseshit and has attacked these teams with a wild-eyed vengeance. He is not ONE BIT intimidated by the Warriors or the Spurs and I love the way he is going about his business en route to sending/trying to send these teams to the scrap-heap of historically good regular season teams that just couldnt cut it in the playoffs.

It'll be interesting to see what the book you post here will say about RW when OKC looses. You're fooling nobody- now you're back to supporting RW because you & most other Cavs fans think the best chance your team has at winning a title is if they play OKC. And most of us would agree that is their best chance of the two options left.

But, I think you've let one game get you far ahead of yourself. Just like you've said, they play each game for a reason & they still have at least 3 more games to go before they can be celebrated for making it to the Finals. I'm inclined to think them only making the Finals once in the past six seasons isn't a coincidence.

Replace Spurs and Warriors with the Cavs, as well as few months to year and a half; you would've described yourself via everyone's point of view perfectly.
