However, I'm curious if your opinion is that both markets are 'doing it wrong'. In other words, do you have anything to refute the plain fact that players are not the least bit 'overpaid'?

In my opinion all these players are overpaid but I'm sure they disagree with me.

Overpaid by what standard? The NBA got a mega TV deal and the players deserve their share of the money. It's just how business works. I do think that the non-superstar players are overpaid, but superstar players like Westbrook are vastly underpaid. However, players as a whole are neither underpaid nor overpaid.
