If he wins and consistently moves the ball the team will believe in him. The team doesnt believe in Th has a starter. For what was out there in Fa or in trade he was best option besides Wilson. Small price to pay for a guy who could have a huge upside.
No sir, That belief begins during the off-season and training camp. He has a history around the league of not having those leadership qualities. Washington players also talk to other players and won't give him the benefit of doubt because he hasn't earned it in other places. He will literally HAVE to become someone that other teams won't recognize in our locker room and on the practice field.

You are also wrong for what was out there, at least Jimmy G is a leader and that's more than what has been said of Wentz. I have been trying to convince posters here that they must get beyond their fears and go after D. Watson. Now that he's been cleared of criminal charges, the price that we could have gotten for him is raised. He is and has been the best option for this team, not ANY of the Walmart-type players!

Players want to go to places where organizations are willing to do everything in order to put a legitimate playoff and potential SB-winning team on the field. Washington has been a middling team (SB years excepted) for as long as I can remember. This has to change or all you're going to get are what they've had for all of this time. Playing the assets game conservatively (meaning fearfully) has to change or you make people who make statements like this... forecast geniuses and relegates the team to mediocrity at best.

Of course have Jonathan Taylor helps.

I think Wentz is better than TH but is that saying much?

I said when Cousin's left "let me know when you replace him." Hasn't happened yet and all we can do is wait and see with Wentz.
From a physical tools standpoint Wentz is legit as he can make every throw. But as you know the QB position is much more than being able to make all the throws. If I were to compare Wentz to anyone the person that comes to mind is Jeff George. He could make every throw as well and had arms talent in abundance. Now I can't say George wasn't liked by his teammates cuz I never read/heard anything like that. I do recall him pouting like a bitch during at least 1 game when he was with Colts and getting into it pretty intensely on the sidelines with the Colts HC. I'm not saying Wentz is a clone of George, but damn it to hell when the sun hits you in the eyes just right they do favor one another.

I also think Wentz not having any comment up to this point is pretty telling as well. Russell Wilson has hit up Bronco WRs tellin em its time to work, His same ol' rah rah spiel that he had in Seattle, but that works for him. Brady had his inner fire fuck all you haters I'll show all y'all and that worked for him. I can't recall I'm goin radio silent cuz I'm butthurt for whatever reason as being a great motivator for any player in any sport. Wentz comes off as entitled as well.

I mostly only remember watching Wentz early in his career with Philly when he had a few unbelievable escape artist plays only to make a big play.

I do not know a lot or really even a little about Wentz. So I can't say he is like George but I guess it is possible. All I can do is wait and see. I do think his silence speaks volumes. Maybe that will reflect on his play. Three teams in three years says a lot too.

I am not shocked at this move by the FO. I will say this doesn't sound like a Danny move. I never thought Rodgers, Wilson, Watson or Carr were real options.

Except the fact it’s a 2nd and A3rd dean and 28.5 mil in the cap hit
Since you didn’t read the trade details the 3rd becomes a 2nd if he plays 70% of the snaps

Not playing 70 % of the snaps means he was injured ( no surprise 5 of 6 years he has missed games do to injury ) or he is a bust

So take off the homer glasses and stop peddling mis information,
big deal? it can convert into a 2nd. If it is a 2nd he should have success here. Here we go with the money again,. We can have 27m in cap room if they restructure Wentz contract. No homer glasses. He was the best of the rest of FA or tradable Qb's. We dont have to rely on a rookie or TH. For fans who want to see the team win this is a good move.

No sir, That belief begins during the off-season and training camp. He has a history around the league of not having those leadership qualities. lol. No way in hell Jimmy g is an upgrade over Wentz. Jimmy G would have cost more in draft capital and more in contract. So you are totally wrong on that account. Wentz has way more upside than Jimmy g, plus jimmy g is coming off a major surgery. You gotta be kidding me with Jimmmy G.

Watson is the best qb out there no doubt but we dont know what future will be. Way too risky

That’s why I said “at least a slight upgrade.”

Read it again.

The fact that you call TH a quality NFL starter is crazy. Why did the team go after Wentz if we already had TH where you think he is adequate or omly a slight upgrade over Wentz? Wrong!

TH is a leader. TH is a beloved leader who actually made incredibly gutsy plays and took all of one game to win over the fanbase.

Look what that got us?

Spare us the “he’s a leader” bullshit. That dog dont hunt.

As long as wentz isnt detracting from the team with his prima donna ness, he’ll be fine.

irsay not liking wentz is nt exactly a black mark on wentz. Irsay is a douchebag.

Frank Reich not wanting Wentz after a year is however.

He’s is not a douche bag.

The cost of watson is prohibitive and not worth it. A sane front office came to that conclusion and this we’re stuck with wentz.
