I think they were. You can't tell me Pitt was offering something or the Saints. I like the trade for reasons I already explained. If he puts up the numbers he did last year on our team, then we make the playoffs easily. I think the Jax game turned people off on the guy. He can still play. If he works out the picks and the money are actually a steal. If he doesnt then there is no gmoney left on the contract and we can move on. That is why its a good trade.
There you go dean ,well here is my issue , we offered a 4th and a 6th for him and our brilliant FO ended up paying a 2nd and a3rd while swapping 2nd rounders and taking on a 28 mil without getting any relief on the cap hit for a guy who was getting cut because the owner wanted him gone .

And you think making the playoffs on a 3 place schedule is some kind of achievement. Laughable , we have no chance at a super bowl and hope some guys will restructure . The 1st attempt LC said blow me

I don't know how any organization trades for a QB who is deemed leader less and not inspirational for the 2 previous teams he played for. Rivera & Co just hit the shit list and are on borrowed time imo. This was such a desperation move of epic proportions.

According to the Draftek’s trade value chart, Washington gave Indianapolis about 2.5 times as much draft capital as San Diego gave Chicago for Khalil Mack, assuming Wentz plays >70% of snaps in 2022. If Wentz plays less, the value is about 1.5 times as much.

How do you think TH's numbers look last year if he played with a RB who started all 17 games, had 332 carries, gained 1811 yards at 5.45 yards a pop and scored 18 TDs, along with 40 rec for another 360 yard, 9.0 ypc and 2 TDs. As well as with an OL that blocked for a running game that went for 2500+ yards at 5.09 ypc and 22 TDs and only allowed 32 sacks on Wentz's 516 pass att.

The Skins entire team only gained 250 more yards rushing than Taylor did and scvored 13 rush TDs to Taylor's 18. The Skins def also gave up 69 more points than the Colts defense.

The pass catching of both teams look eerily similar. Terry Mac n Pittman had very similar numbers than a big drop-off.

All that going for him, huge advantage in the run game, definite advantage in the OL, a push in the passing game and a defense that gave up 4 points less a game. Wentz managed 7 more passing TDs than TH. TH doubled up Wentz 7 INTs on the yearr and both had a ypa of 6.9.
Of course have Jonathan Taylor helps.

I think Wentz is better than TH but is that saying much?

I said when Cousin's left "let me know when you replace him." Hasn't happened yet and all we can do is wait and see with Wentz.

Perhaps!! Matching physical stature and skills, Wentz is hands down better. So before I go on let me ask you... How much value is it to a team if their QB is a true leader that inspires others because they believe in him? How much of a detriment is it to that same team if their QB inspires no one and lacks the requisite skills to be that leader?

We have more talent at QB. Simple as that. It should translate into wins. The draft picks and money shouldnt matter. Even if he fails we still can get out of the contract next year.

Talent alone is not enough at QB, you have to have those leadership qualities that come with the position. Without it, the rest of the team won't buy in and outcomes are affected. I understand why you didn't address the questions, but in doing so, you relegate your talent to "simple as that" position meaningless.

To be fair to you, here are the questions again. I have conceded to your point on Wentz's physical stature and skills being better than Heinicke's.

1. How much value is it to a team if their QB is a true leader that inspires others because they believe in him?

2. How much of a detriment is it to that same team if their QB inspires no one and lacks the requisite skills to be that leader?

If he wins and consistently moves the ball the team will believe in him. The team doesnt believe in Th has a starter. For what was out there in Fa or in trade he was best option besides Wilson. Small price to pay for a guy who could have a huge upside.

Two third round picks were a huge price to pay for a starting QB with upside? wow!!
Except the fact it’s a 2nd and A3rd dean and 28.5 mil in the cap hit
Since you didn’t read the trade details the 3rd becomes a 2nd if he plays 70% of the snaps

Not playing 70 % of the snaps means he was injured ( no surprise 5 of 6 years he has missed games do to injury ) or he is a bust

So take off the homer glasses and stop peddling mis information,
