The AFC was "weaker" than the NFC last year as well.

Not sure of the defenses in the AFC this year. Last year, the Ravens had a good D with that hot offense. This year, the NFC defenses are punishing and the Saints look hot on offense. But it may all depend on Seattle because I doubt they lose at home.

I don't think anyone, realistically, was calling the broncos a SB winner. Especially over the past several weeks.

Only delusional Patriot fans anoint themselves SB winners before the game.

Considering that no one in the AFC looks unstoppable no one should be picking their team for a trip to New York.

For the record, I posed a question.
I never said the Broncos would not win the SB.
I never said the Seahawks would not win the SB
I never expected the Patriots to be where they are today with what they have left.

I will say, there is a lot of football left.
There are a lot of surprises left.
Anybody thinks their team "has it made", is in for a likely rude awakening.
EVERY team in the NFL has weakness.
NFC is not neccesarily stronger than AFC - it is all about matchups.
The wildcard teams have as good a chance of winning it all as the front-runners
Playoffs start out everybody is 0-0

Are all of you (kool aid drinkers) still ready to crown the Broncos as SuperBowl Champions before they even reach the playoffs? Was today the first trip for San Diego to Denver?
What if San Diego is the wild card and Denvers first game? Would that not make you worry about another "one and done"?

For some reason , Peyton has always had trouble beating SD, KC has the same problem.
Don't know why, he's changed teams and they've changed coaches several time but he seldom beats them...
One thing about PM, you won't hear any excuses, he will take it on the chin and go figure out how to fix what he did wrong so it don't happen often going forward.....I still think they are the team to beat in the AFC, but you know the old any given Sunday rule....Don't put too much stock in that loss tho.....

You are right! He will take it on the chin every time. So we agree? One and done?

No Hawk's fans have made that claim but according to many posters on this board Hawk fans claim we are the SB champs already,oh including YOU!.

Denver had beaten SD with PM as QB each of the three times we'd played them prior to the game Thursday. SD played very well and Denver didn't. I think that explains the loss a lot more than any systematic problem that PM has facing the Chargers.

Not like this. Patriots are half of the team they were last year. Broncos are about the same. Ravens might be able to get healthy and resemble the team last year but I wouldn't bet on it. Texans fell off the face of the planet. Colts look like frauds. Bengals are the only contender that looks better but...Andy Dalton.

They also beat Philly on the road. It's just maddening. This team could easily be 10-4 or 11-3 right now, but they continue to step on their dicks at the most inopportune times. Last night made me forget all that, temporarily. At least their games still mean something.

I'm feeling you, my team left more games on the table than I care to remember, congrats.

Pretty clear front runners when the season opened, I thought Denver was peaking early, it's tough to keep that kind of momentum for the stretch run. They have their issues, but I think the Pats have their issues too, I agree its going to be fun watching the playoffs this year.

The pressure is clearly on the Bronks, they have a couple creampuff games remaining, time to get better and prepare for the post season.
