Without a doubt. You couldn’t rush the passer on that field. It negated a huge advantage the Eagles had.

It is worth mentioning that is a very different oline and a different dline. And a very different secondary. Eagles got better, Chiefs got worse

Are eagles fans already used to the hate that being the champion brings on because everybody already hates them a ton for their behavior?

I don't think they've fully seen the villain treatment yet. When they're 9-1 next year and someone's star DT gets hurt on a tush push or a ref call goes their way then they are going to get dogpiled.

But no fanbase should care about that

People hated us when we stunk, so we're used to being hated. Meh.

The Chiefs had OT issues on that squad and the Eagles had a near record setting pass rush. In fact, the only thing they really did well was rush the passer. It was a big edge that was negated by an inexcusable mistake. Over 100 million people watch this game every year. Unacceptable for a Super Bowl to have been played on that field.

We really don’t care. Are these the things a football fan thinks about when their favorite team has been irrelevant since Top Gun was released?

But why do you think you speak for Philly fans? I haven’t heard any of what you’re talking about post Super Bowl. I do know that you hate Nick and that once you’re dug in you can’t adapt. 2 Super Bowls in 3 years and a Lombardi says he’s a good coach and it really doesn’t matter what you think.
please shut up

They really only had one OT issue and that was at LT specifically with speed rushers. If they had a chip on the edge they had no big issues.

I don’t know about that. Wylie plays in the NFC East now so I get to see him a lot. I think the Birds had a huge matchup advantage there.

Its impossible to know other than what was played. You guys literally backed down our Guard playing LT and numerous plays and really beat up our RT. The Eagles might have looked better there but nothing like what we just saw

McShay is finally back on TV, ( well Youtube podcast) and they are doing a series with current GM's interviewing and these GM's are being as open as can be. I think everyone has their own different grading system, their own scouting routines, their own big board philosophies and this is were these teams are different.
I believe they all set there minds to finding that franchise QB and letting him just be the savor for the team.
There were 8 players picked before Jalen Carter. Only 3 were QBs and that includes Anthony Richardson who we all knew at the time had no business being the 4th pick in the draft. No other team jumped up to take Jalen Carter before pick #9, the entire league fucked up and most of us knew it on draft day., So pissed this happened.

Remember when the Dolphins players said Vic Fangio was too old school and the game had passed him by? Maybe...the Dolphins players were soft? The Georgia Bulldogs really seemed to take to Fangio's coaching. They were probably coached hard in the SEC.

Honestly, like @Clayton said it was a calculated risk by a team that wagered it could actually gamble and lose. I didn't like this pick at the time because I thought the risk was not worth taking. Obviously I was wrong, but Philly seemingly did its homework and concluded Carter was a manageable risk, an immature kid who could excel with the right "management".

You know who does the background checks right?

Big dom has connections...he knows guys who know guys if you know what I mean. He gets the skinny on these prospects.

His real-life story, as a former backup Penn State o-lineman turned "security consultant", may be too wild for Hollywood. He turned down a movie deal per Schefter.

I love to be wrong about things like Jalen Carter and Jalen Hurts!
