2 questions.

#1. WTF is a Tundo?

#2. How can i like your sig so much even when I have no clue what it means?

1. Tundo was a Tampa fan who used to post on ESPN. He was a super homer and very brash.

2. Its from an AT&T ad from about 15 years ago. They had numerous ads where the voice over (i think Tom Selleck) would ask the seemingly impossible and then of course he would say "you will". About 15 minutes after the ad came out faxes were pretty much on their way out. It just makes me laugh how wrong they were about that one. Its also a song lyric, I assume the band is making fun of that too.

Another had someone pushing a cart full of groceries through a checkout line and having it all rang up at once without being moved from the cart. So far no go on that one, but I can see that happening at some point.

Been there, squashed that.

I will close this thread if there are no objections.

Oh yeah.... I remember those ads. Didn't they have one with a car going through a toll plaza without slowing down... they did nail that one.

He has been here before, as PredsFan22. Not sure why he likes staying over there with "those people".

Some site had a bunch of the ads on it. They were pretty good or semi accurate on a number of things. Apparently some stores are trying an RFID chip on items so even the ringing up of all groceries at one time may be being done.

Yeah, I know. Tried to lure him back over last night. My post is still there, so hopefully he'll know what I mean.

Here are the ads. They did pretty damn well. They aren't exactly Jules Vernesque predictions, but in 1993 the Internet was still an infant, so it's pretty impressive.

No one is gonna read 77 pages worth of shit. How many threads are gonna be stickied that have reached the extent of their worth

It's funny shit. Although I'm on page 12 and ready for a break.
