Because A player can "give himself up" and run 80 yards and he can go "i wasn't touched".

not true. It is defined.
As soon as a player slides feet 1st it is an automatic give up & the ball is spotted where the slide starts.

Hence the option of it's a mix of both. Why on 3rd and short do they run the same short route in the middle of the field? Utilize Cam's running abilities once in a while.

It just feels like the qb run game hasn’t been there the last few weeks. Not sure if it teams have better prepared for it or what after the first two weeks.

Eh, not really. You struggled against a 1-4-1 team. Still not gonna be a playoff team, IMO.

Gotta play the teams on their schedule. Not every game is going to be easy, if it was...there would be a lot of teams with 11 or 12 wins and no 7-8 win teams. Indy struggled to beat Cincy too last week

That works better when you're running the ball regularly well with your RB's. Otherwise, the read option is a harder sell to the DE.

IIRC the rule is that the play is dead as soon as the player starts to give himself up. Now, whether that is actually what refs are enforcing is a different issue.

I seem to remember a play ages ago where Vick faked a slide and carried on. That shouldn't really be allowed.

Yeah that was a bad comment by that dude. Anyone who pay attention know the Benglas don't play like their record. You can easily make a case that they could have 4 more wins than they have. Team going to be good when they learn how to close games
