But, McVay said they were expecting the Lions to have trick plays and still weren’t prepared.

That’s what’s alarming SJ.

To expect it and still not execute is pathetic. And it wasn’t just once. They got schooled 3 times.

And they still won by 9. Special teams has to be better. Like I said Detroit was desperate. Rams are obviously not that desperate.

It’s a long season

I’m not going to get real high or real low on this team during the first half of the season. Obviously this team has a lot of talent. I think McVay is all about winning and staying healthy early in the season. Which actually is smart. But it also means you’re not gonna play every single week like it’s your Super Bowl like we did against Tampa.

I would say the Rams have a two-game winning streak against Tom Brady dating back two years but according to this dude, nobody has a winning record against Tom Brady. BTW, the Rams also might have a three-game winning streak against freakin' Tommy!

Brady has the winning streak that really matters, so this is all relative.

2-0 against the Rams in the SB.

I see you avoiding the questions I asked again. We were not winning a super bowl with Goff. Remember? Greg the Leg out up more points than JG in that super bowl. We know what happened in the other on.

But you bitch about the super bowl. You bitch about getting Stafford for the picks. Probably bitched about getting Ramsey too. It’s still October and you’re bitching.

Not sure what to tell you…. But I know a team that’s beat Tommy no gloves the last 2 times H2H. Acting like that doesn’t matter is just more bitching.

not bitching SJ.

just stating beating Brady in the regular season means nothing. It's all about the ring, and Brady has 2 of his 7 against the Rams.

now, we can argue about whether those games were legitimately officiated or not all day. Certainly the 1st one was not. The refs missed the obvious PI against Cooks that would've led to a TD and a tie game prior to the INT.

nevertheless, he has the Ships and the Rams don't.

I just asked who has beaten Tom Brady twice in a row the last 10 years. Who’s done it 3 times?

Answer is it hasn’t happened often. So…

Saying those wins mean nothing is beyond dumb.

and, yes, I hate that the Rams FO consistently trades away 1st round picks like they are Pokemon cards.

Is Ramsey worth it? Yes. Is Stafford worth it? so far, yes.

But the flip side is we are in cap hell because of eating dead contracts and having to pay these acquired stars big time money vs having low cost players on rookie contracts as well.

The good news is, the Rams have done very well in later rounds the past several drafts to help mitigate some of the weak areas. However, we still don't have a legit LB corp at all, some of the secondary is suspect ( although that has been improving with Long playing less and Rochell playing more ). But Williams had digressed prior to his injury, so who knows how he comes back.

And the OL has been playing great so far, but there is almost no depth behind them, so if the injury bug hits the OL, there will be trouble.

Alot of the issues could've been addressed with those lost picks, or I would even argue, addressed instead of picking a midget WR that doesn't even play.

it's not dumb SJ.

it's a freaking regular season win amongst 15-16 other games.

now, if that win ends up being a tie breaker to who has homefild advantage if the Bucs and Rams were to meet in the playoffs, then you have a point. Then the win means something more.

but just to say the Rams have beaten Brady twice in a row in the regular season doesn't hold any weight. The Rams also lost the the winless Jets the same season they beat Brady, so there is that.

You know who has the real winning streak against Brady? Eli Manning 2-0 vs Brady in the SB.

That's the record that matters.

Lol. You’re bitching about little things while the Rams win by 9 over the Lions but the regular season doesn’t mean anything when we beat Brady the last 2 H2H matchups

Get your shit together man

exactly. They won by freaking 9 points against a terrible Lions team.

It should've been a blowout just like Vegas sportsbooks predicted, but instead they had to come from behind and have a last minute INT to seal the win against who you claim all the time is a terrible QB.

you might think these "little" things don't matter, but come playoff time, they matter- ALOT. And unless they get resolved ( ie Special teams, LB corp, secondary ), Stafford will still be 0-fer in the playoffs.

Little things do matter but constantly bitching about these games in the regular season like you do and then saying beating Brady twice in a row during the regular season means nothing just proves how much you need to be on the negativity thread.

If regular season games truly mean nothing then why do you bitch about them so much?

Dude @ANGELAKERAMS answer, and I think you know it, was spot on!

Good we are doing better in the regular season vs TB ............

But brother to a man, and @Red_Chaos, we all trade a losing record in the regular season to a winning record, or even a split in the post season!

Amirite?

so, we aren't supposed to complain about the incompetencies of the team from game to game?

we are all supposed to drink the kool aid and pretend everything will just be fine come playoff time?

and, I am not negative all the time. Far from it. I've pointed out some very positive things about this team just a few posts ago. You just choose to look past them and focus on the "negative" as you put it. I don't feel pointing out the flaws of the team game to game is being "negative". It's called reality. You should try living in it sometime instead of thinking everything is peaches and roses.

this team has obvious flaws that aren't being addressed, even when there may be players in-house that could solve them and they aren't getting any PT.

A losing record in the regular season gonna get you a super bowl huh? When? Name one

To say the regular season does not matter is also stupid. To say the regular season does not matter and then bitch constantly about regular season games is laughable.

We all want a super bowl. STFU be patient and let’s see how this goes.

Dude all you do is complain. Seriously.

There is plenty of questions but also plenty of positives. Every team has flaws that’s what the regular season is for…. LMAO

reality is we are 6-1 and spanked the Bucs. We will see the Cards again.

Now stop the sniveling already

Whatever, SJ.

Hey man we are all Rams fans. We all want the super bowl. I can tell you I wish Mcvay ran the ball more. I wish play calls were better at times. The man is 34 and not perfect. Dude is as old as Stafford. He has lots to learn. I am willing to deal with the speed bumps and good/great teams until it all clicks. We know that if he ran some jumbo formation at times with his current offense, we would be lethal. His mentor Gruden did it. At some point he’s going to have to realize it. May take until after Stafford. But the man is Uber talented as a HC. Yes he goes Mike Martz at times.

The early draft picks I’ve already said we need to keep trading them because we don’t draft well in the early rounds. But I’m not going to beat the dead horse over and over. I’m gonna enjoy not having to watch Fisher ball.

Y’all just seem to think the guy is perfect. He’s not nor never will be. He has lots to learn but the dude is a solid NFL coach even at 34.
