Okay, rant coming....

All of this "system quarterback" jibberish has got to stop! Every team has an offensive identity, scheme or game plan. It takes a skilled and talented quarterback to execute it well. Drew Brees, Tom Brady and others are elite athletes who use their atheleticism, brains, mechanics and timing to get the job done. Even if the scheme or system is great in design, it will fail if you don't have the proper skillset to execute the plan. There are certainly some quarterbacks that are asked to do more than others based on their experience or talent, but in my opinion there is no such thing as a system that renders a mediocre quarterback to "great" status.

Rant over...

I Agree, Alex Smith sucked for how many years? Then when he actually becomes a good QB suddenly he is just a "product of the system" and a "game manager."

Its total bullshit. "game manager" is another one that needs to be thrown out the window. Game manager is almost always used to describe a guy you don't think has a huge arm but wins and wins and wins. Hate that term used in a negative way.

explain the system behind Brees' super-human accuracy:

DrewBrees Sport Science - YouTube

Brees was recently part of a Jeopardy category regarding this. Funny the contestant that rung in was slow guessing his team and it took a second for him to ring in, meaning the other two didnt know the answer.
