week 4 top 25 discussion thread

Weird week...not sure I change a thing from last week in the top 25, except a shuffle or two.

Utah @ 3-1 and beating BYU on the road was a big game for them. GL to anyone with them on your schedule.

Dropped Out: Arizona State

Not much changed, Michigan dropped again, and ASU fell out do to the loss against Stanford, which wasn't as close as 2 TD margin looked.

Maybe because Wisconsin has no good wins, and they lost to a team that he doesn't think is a top 25 team.

Lost to Arizona State, beat literally the worst team in FBS, an FCS school and the worst team in the B1G. Crappy resume if you ask me. FWIW I didn't have them in after last week, beating Purdue isn't going to push them into my top 25.

Purdue is a pretty awful Big 10 team.....they'll struggle to win any conference games

They haven't beaten anyone. The other teams I ranked without good wins have won convincingly. It came down to northwestern and Oklahoma and I chose northwestern because their wins are a little better imo

If you're gonna ask why Wisco isn't in, then provide an argument...For example, VaTech...who have they beaten? They've looked incredibly mediocre against below average teams in Marshall and Eastern Michigan.

Resume is weak... although if the end of the ASU game was called properly, they'd have one of the better quality road wins in the country.

I think Wisconson is definitely one of the 25 best teams. But it's all based on the eye test at this point.

Your poll seems to deviate quite a bit from any other polls I've seen regarding OU.

Va Tech is 3-1 against the 37th ranked SOS, Wisconsin is 3-1 against the 151st ranked SOS. Va Tech lost to the #1 team in the country. Wisconsin lost to a team not even in the top 25.

Hands down Va. Tech has the better resume.

NDSU beat Kansas State on the road, they were more of a mockery pick b/c 20-25 are extremely weak this year.

East Carolina not Eastern Michigan, that is a big difference. About 65 spots different in the computers.

Yeah, I went back and looked at where Oklahoma was ranked by everyone else and noticed that. I try to make my rankings without seeing where everyone else has them.

VTs win over ECU is impressive, IMO. Much more so than Purdue. Marshall is better than Umass and losing to Alabama looks better on a resume than losing to Arizona state.

I ranked Wiscy above VT because Wiscy has looked better than VT, but VT arguably has the better resume.

Yeah, they held ECU to ten points. ECU is pretty good this year. IMO, they had a realistic chance of going to a BCS bowl had they won that game. They returned 21 starters this year

I'd agree to that if we didn't count any polls with Florida or Michigan
