Sorry for the thread steal @ATL96Steeler ... Maybe a change could provide us some mojo!
Vegas has the Steelers opening up this game as -2.5pt favorites on the road. That's awful generous. lol
Offense... I'd like to see this team get back to balanced football. But obviously that will depend on how badly the defense is getting gashed. If the O is playing from behind then we'll likely see Ben throw it 50+ times again. If its remotely close then I hope they focus on getting Conner going. Control the tempo and keep the TB offense off the field. Doing that will hopefully take the pressure off of "Road Ben" who seems to shit his pants a lot. JPP & McCoy form the catalyst of a very formidable defensive front. O-line will need to play their asses off.
Defense... I don't think much needs to be said here. Everyone's gotta play better, top to bottom. Win your battles and do your job. Bucs are red hot and could easily dominate this game if the defense doesn't show up. Time to put up or shut up.
Injuries... DeCastro, Haden & Alualu are the concerns. Reportedly things are looking "close" for Haden. DeCastro said he could play if they really needed him to, but with Finney in the fold its doing the team a disservice by pushing himself into the game. I think they keep him out another week. Nothing new on Alualu. Still dealing with a shoulder injury. Good news that neither Roethlisberger or McDonald felt any adverse effects from their previous injuries after the game. They should be ready to play this week.
Outlook... Honestly not feeling good about this game. Road game in a hot climate. Ben plays like shit on the road and the big fellas in the trenches are going to have their conditioning tested during this game. Fitzpatrick should have another stellar outing forcing the Steelers to play from behind much of the game. Ben will probably start forcing bad throws and the snowball effect will ensue. Just too much drama & too many questions without any answers surrounding this team right now.
