I'm not sure even fully healthy this line is "great" at this point; good, absolutely; top 5, probably. But of course the bigger issue as we know is indeed the being fully healthy part. Smith has been out or questionable for what seems like half of the games the last couple of years and this will more than likely be the 5th year in a row that he misses 3 (maybe more) games. For a young guy Collins hasn't been too much healthier. He hasn't missed too many games but also always seems to be injured. And both will be out this week again.Fully healthy the Dallas OL is GREAT, health up front has been a major issue.
What worries me most about both is we were assuming 3 games for Collins and now it seems it will be more, so we don't know is it 4, 6, the season? Same for Smith. This will now be 2 games. But, we really haven't heard much to know if he is even close to a return. Maybe he shocks everyone and plays this week or maybe he's out 3 more weeks. Tough to say, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is an ongoing issue all year and his back issue of course could resurface at any point as well.
