not sure what the obsession is for Rivers, he's the same size and probably not good. What did any of these guys do in preseason besides struggle to find holes. Our running game is just trash, would be nice to get JT from the Colts if they wanted to swap 4ths or 5th's. He'd be 10x better than what we currently have in the backfield.

Preseason without the starters playing is pointless for reference to actual game play.

Kenny Pickett looked elite this preseason with their starters playing against 2nd teamers and worse. How does that look so far this season?

Rumors continue that the Rams will eventually trade for JT but some concessions need to occur first like the Colts ain't getting a First or even a Second Rounder. They may eek out a Third or Fourth or a pick swap may ensue. The other item is JT has to agree to continue on with his present contract and wait a year or two to get paid. We shall see how this plays out.

Can't see that coming to pass. They could use a bigger back for a change of pace, maybe check in with Chicago about D'Onta Foreman? He looked strong once he got the job in Carolina last year.

At what point is Purdy extension eligible? They can't do him dirty and pay him like Mr. Irrelevant as their starter for 3 more years. That could be a $30M/year cap hit coming up.
Players must spend 3 years in the league before they are eligible to sign an extension. So, Purdy can't be signed to an extension until after the 2024 season.

The NFLPA really is nutless. Players should not be locked into 4 year contracts as 7th round picks when their team doesn't share that commitment. When he signed that contact, only 77K was guaranteed.
