This game is turning into a competition of which team can shoot themselves in the foot more

Now the D gets involved to an even greater extent and voila: SAFETY! Hold in the end zone and that’s two points for the Nittany Lions. 23-6 with 7:38 remaining in the third

We need a little more pressure on the Pickett in the second half to shut down him getting their offense going.

We have put together a really solid second half so far and the score reflects it as anyone would expect.

One stat that sticks out for the D is we have given-up over 200 yards in rushing.

Almost another safety! The Penn State D has stepped-up in the second half.

Pitt can't handle that Penn state front line D in the second half

seems like night and day for Penn State D - i.e. 1st half vs. 2nd half

And Penn State special teams outshining Pitt's ST

I don't think it has been mentioned by the announcers but I feel the PSU punter has been a star in this game
He has remained calm back there even though a couple of punts Pitt has gotten close to blocking and he has put up consistent high kicks that have allowed the PSU defenders to get to the punt receiver of Pitt and basically pin Pitt way back - especially in the 2nd half
