Well hopefully Pelini can piece something together that is at least an average defense.
I still believe the skill players on offense can be dangerous enough to keep NU in most games.

The Mich St and Ohio St road games are my biggest concern. They've got defenses that can blow up the NU line.

Okuyemi is worthless, Jay guy is a 4-5 year project, Todd Peat is god knows what right now, Donovan Vestal, Walker Ashburn... All wastes of space/scholarships.

Not only is there a chance, I'd lean towards likely.

The vast majority of these recruits weren't offered by the biggies. If you look at their offers they were either by average BCS teams or mid-majors.

Which inclines me to think they aren't being coached up like everyone assumed they would be. It's just how it's always been at NU. Hit the recruiting trail, find a diamond in the rough out in the middle of Bumfuck Egypt and make a beast out of them.

As an old timer it's hard to watch NU teams get dominated in the trenches on both sides of the ball. But that's where it all starts and we'd better get used to it as it's become the norm and only Pelini can change that.

I know you don't like Scout, but they miraculously added stars to a lot of NU commits a month or so ago. It started with Stanton who was originally a three star. Now all of the sudden there are a bunch of what were originally 3 stars turned to 4 stars.

That's how NU went from being ranked in the mid-twentys up to #17.

Theyre gonna have a lot of adjusted evaluations
