I know that a few years ago the Niners had the 1st pick in a lesser draft year with regards to the top 3 or so players and would have been better off trading down but no one wanted the higher signing price for the guy projected 1st. Is this a good/great year to have the 1st pick? Some years it.' better to pay the 3rd guy in the draft his scale of pay with respects to rookies and their rookie pay slots maximums.

I dont think thats really a factor these days with the newer (post Bradford/Suh) rookie scale. I think this years draft is like when Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa and quiennen Williams were at the top. Yeah, you could trade down. Or just run to the podium.

I told myself I wouldn't be pissed about the Steelers missing the playoffs, just being happy they had a chance after how the season started, but to miss out due to a roughing penalty setting up the Dolphins GW FG when their offense couldn't do dick all fucking game is beyond frustrating.

There's decent chance that game ends in a tie if not for that.

THAT'S IT...! This needs to be discussed by the competition committee and changes need to be made. This is happening too frequently.

Yeah, it wasn't a bad call. It's just a shitty way to end a game with playoff implications that had virtually no offense throughout.

Ultimately, the Dolphins and Steelers were just competing to get ritually sacrificed to the Bills next week, but it would have been nice for Pickett to get some post season experience in his rookie year

I'm pretty excited about next season.

I'm fine with all division winners getting in, but they need to do something about the seeding.

No way a team with a losing record should get a home playoff game.
