After a nice confidence building win over the Cardinals for the Rams especially the offense and Goff, we finish the year at home against the SF 49ers who have won 2 out of their last 3 including a win over the Seahawks who have secured a wild-card berth in the playoffs.
There is a lot going on this week-end with records at stake in this game and the securing of a first round bye with a win is a must.
AD needs three sacks to set a new NFL sack total record last established by Michael Strahan. Goff needs 342 passing yards to surpass Kurt Warner's single season passing record.
Our new tandem RB weapon of Anderson and Kelly will see playing time and depending on Gurley's status at game time, Anderson may start this game.
McVay has not decided to keep some of his starters out like last year. I think he has learned his lesson and like in the Cardinal game, if we are way ahead late in the game, I think we will see the seconds again but I think the starters will play most of this game.
Gurley may not play and Joyner is day-to-day. We may see Gurley and Joyner and we may not but I am pretty sure everyone else will be playing because the Rams have to win to secure a first round bye.
Phillips likes the way his defense is playing this past three or four weeks holding teams to 312 total yards or less. He would like to see this to continue.
Should be a great game and it will be fun to see if all those records are broken and we get a first round bye with a huge win.
