There's going to be a lot of teams studying this particular game film because Chicago has shown how to shut us down. I really hope that we purge this game from our memories ASAP and start fresh tomorrow morning.
Goff needs to man up in these types of games...but instead looks like a deer in headlights overthrowing WR's and not making the throws as needed.... Either Mcvay get's his shit together with the pass happy play-calling or 1 and done again in the playoffs.
He has what I call Jason Campbell syndrome. He stares down the WR he wants to throw it to and then throws it to that very person, allowing the DBs time to read his eyes and get to where they need to go.Jared Goff doesn't yet have the capacity to make quicker decisions with pressure. That much is obvious.
Maybe it just isn't our year, maybe @SJ76 is right and Goff just isn't the answer. Goff playing bad again and the Bears defense playing good was the difference in the game. Burn this film and move on to next week, hoping you learned something.
He’s young but I’m just not convinced yet. I’m a little harsh but I’m also right a lot. Goff’s best friend against a D like this is his RB. Where was the touch pass for 4-5 yards to let Gurley run after the catch? Those throws were really bad tonignt
Playoff football is a different animal. This is the kind of D you have to make plays on in the playoffs
Yep and sad to say.... i don't see this team making it far, Rams need to play lights out football and forget the bye week as it's clear they don't possess the mental toughness to make the plays needed against a good defense. Goff looks afraid.
