I've never been the biggest fan of the guy and would love to ship him out ASAP. Only thing is though, is how would that affect the cap since he's got like 3-4 years left after this season doesn't he?
The Rams would be in more cap hell since most of his contract was guaranteed.

so, not only did they make the mistake of paying him so much, but guaranteed most of the contract as well.

that, my friends, is what you call stupid.

it could be worse though. We could be saddled with Wentz’ contract and play.

Spot on ALR. Maybe this FO have learned a lesson but I doubt it. The Ramsey deal... .... maybe I won't go there as everyone here knows where I was going to go with that notion.

I agree Goff needs to step it up. yes hes made some bad decisions, yet at the same time Ive seen games where he isnt get much protection. one interception he was getting hit and it turned into a pick 6. The other was a overthrow that was HORRENDOUS. the fumble for a TD a couple weeks ago the whole oline collasped in front of him. Against Miami the Offense and special teams sucked., yes Goff makes shorrible decisions, but Im not going to lay it all on him!!!

You have to hang on to him for another 3 years, doesn't mean he is starting, all that time. Time to groom a replacement.

I agree, but at the same time, he doesn't make a defense pay, if they get pressure on him. He is a stand still clean pocket qb, like most qbs strive in.

I agree, he tends to hang on to the ball to long, yet at the same time seems like guys get to him awfully fast sometimes, untouched!!

Anyone watch the San Fran Buffalo game last?

Buffalo RBs are small. Yes Allen at QB is better than Goff, but it shows if we hang onto the ball and get out ahead of the 9ers there’s no way we should lose.

Also a difference I saw was Buffalo’s ILB Tremaine Edmunds 6’5 250. We need some bruisers at ILB to punish that San Fran running game. Take away that and they are toast

yeah, ILB's need to be bruisers especially in a 3-4. Too many LBs at 225, barely 230 can shed blocks needed to stop the RB's once they get into the 2nd level. When your safeties and cb are leading tackles in games then you can guage where the problem lies.

I did see the Redskins under Ron Rivera and Alex Smith at the QB beat the undefeated Stillers by a FG with a set-up, nifty clock-saving play by Smith.

There should be no-way we lose to the Niners this year. I think McVay with his loyalty need to his friend Kyle Shanihan, sub-consciously doesn't stay disciplined and does a lot of stupid shit in his preparation leading-up to the game. Sort of like: "I don't want to get my friend mad at me if I beat the hell out of his team twice while he's down with all those injuries, so will just play the game and to hell with the outcome." sort of thing.
