If you look at the history, Tomlin really hasn't done anything. It was the Chin's team that took Tomlin to the Super Bowl and won....Yes there was the Super Bowl with Green Bay, but we saw how that turned out!!!!
Tomlin is a good D coordinator, but I don't believe he is a good Head Coach. This is a time where the Chin would be screaming and spit flying off that lip, and people would get it in their head real fast, they are playing like shit!!!
Tomlin's philosophy bullshit is getting 0 results!!!!

Butler.....Lets not even go there.

Last defensive stand of the day and you put all 11 fuckin guys on the line of scrimmage.....
WTF, all he has to do is beat two and he is gone.... Oh wait, that is what happened!!!!
I used to support Tomlin in that "Cowher's team" debate... But now that Lebeau is gone, we are seeing the true results of a Tomlin team. We all thought that Butler would instill Lebeau's schemes, but I am not entirely sure that Butler even controls the defense very much. We know Tomlin is all about the tampa 2, and more & more we are seeing that coverage in the secondary. Tomlin & Colbert have a whole arsenal of man-cover CB's but they insist on playing zones? Gilbert is probably the only zone-based cover guy on the roster and he has barely even sniffed the field. Gay has clearly lost a step and its showing. One of the biggest issues with these man-cover CBs playing zone is that they played their entire careers to this point learning how to tackle while playing man coverage. Meaning more often than not they are making the tackle in stride with the receiver. Now that they are playing zone, they are required to tackle in the open field.

That trade for Haden isn't looking too bad right now!!!! LOL

And the D is predictable, You can see if they are sending a blitz, you can see the coverage running from the comfort of home. So how bad is it looking for us on the field???
I knew we were so fucked with that line on the last play of the game, we knew they were going to run....KNEW IT!!! Put in Shazier, and 2 other LBs and make them play 5-10 yards off the line, just to cover your ass......

That play summed up the D for the entire year.

Wheaton has been a healthy scratch for 2 straight weeks... Why the hell not trade his ass while he still holds a shred of value?

I thought the same thing when i saw them line up on the ball. At first I said, "Holy fuck if they go play action its over" then I said, "Oh thank God they ran it, but oh look it didn't matter anyway, nice defense Butler" ... Then I marched out of the room in a fit of rage and probably gave myself a hernia from pissing in anger.

Elliot was breaking the line all day. You are not going to stop him, but you can slow him down. They did a good job most of the day slowing him down. But come on....all 11 guys on the line, all he has to do is find a hole get past "2" guys and it's over. And 2, just 2 extra points, and we would of been golden..... But this was a piss poor job on the coaching staff!!!

Wheaton and Green, get rid of the both of the assholes. Green did not impress me one fuckin bit. JJ is no Heath, but he is a far cry better than this dipshit. How the fuck Tomlin thinks he is a key to the offense when he misses half a fuckin season is beyond any rhyme or reason!!!!

I share your sentiments with Green. He looked rusty and out-of-sync. About what you would expect from someone who hasn't played meaningful football in almost a year.

I will say this....

The fake spike play, I was screaming, "Fake it, fake it"
And was tickled to death when they not only did it, but 10 of 11 Cowboys were standing there with the old WTF look on their faces!!!! That was fuckin priceless!!!!

But then the coaching staff took that away from us, so it was all for not!!!!

That was such a phenomenal feeling... I was screaming at the top of my lungs after that play.... Sadly it made the ensuing drive all the more soul-crushing.

4 losses in a row.....
For this caliber of a team is sickening, and if the Rooney's are not pressuring this coaching staff.....
Something is very broken with this team!!! And all the talent in the world won't fix it!!!!

Cowboys are gonna kick the Steelers asses, at least I hope so. I won't say good luck, because I'd be lying, but I will say :suds: to a good injury free game.

Steelers did a pretty good job of kicking their own ass...I think PIT lost that game more than DAL won it, but it is what it is...congrats, wish you guys well the rest of the way.

Likewise to @UK Cowboy as well.

I thought the Steelers made some weird play calls, and I don't get the going for two at all...I thought the Cowboys did a great job of fighting through adversity, they had to have double digit penalties. If the Steelers stay healthy, they are gonna make some noise
Hope to see yall again @ATL96Steeler

I think you have to give Dallas more credit than you are, but I can see your point. The 2 point failures played a major role in how the game was played. Both offenses simply abused the others defense, but I think we all knew that was likely to happen.

I really don't have any post game comments other than to say...I really thought PIT allowed Zeke to score to get the ball back with time and timeouts...and they do it, they come down and score...and basically give the fucking game away with a senseless facemask...the man was already stopped for CRYING OUTLOUD!!

We'll see what happens after the season to Tomlin and crew...but I'm no longer expecting a playoff game.

DAL did have a ton of penalties and fought through it and clearly deserved to win.

Speaking of clock management....Can't fault Zeke for running it in, but if he simply takes a knee at the 1 when he busts the first TD run with less than 2 minutes left, the game is over right there too
Pitt's D is to blame for the last 42 seconds. No excuse

As I stated to UK...DAL did fight through a lot of penalties, and kept the pressure on PIT the entire game, but at the end, when the game was hanging in the balance, PIT made 2 stupid game changing mistakes...one they got away with on Beasley, the other facemask on Davis, put DAL in the drivers seat and effectively handed them the game...why they weren't prepared for a running play (on the last scoring play) when DAL had another timeout is beyond me.

The two point snafus were bad, and they did have an effect on the way the game was played, but if #28 doesn't grab a facemask of a player who was already stopped and the clock ticking...those are likely a mute point....that's why I say PIT lost it more than DAL won it, but hats off, they made the plays to win the game.

In terms of the here and now...Tomlin is not cutting it...no way this team should be 4-5, even with Ben missing 3 games.

I hear ya, and I have supported him too.
The guy is always spot on when they interview him about the problems facing the team.....
But his philosophical bullshit just seems like nothing more than talk....because regardless of what he says, nothing ever comes of it.

No way in hell a team this talented should be dropping 4 games in a row. Even with the defensive woes.

Unless there is a huge turn around on D the last 7 weeks Butler should be fired. The sooner the better IMO!!!

Tomlin's presser comments sound good, but I've never paid much attention even when they were winning...I'm a show me kinda person.

No they shouldn't...they played good enough to win the game, but you simply can't make those kind of undisciplined mistakes at the end....that's reflecting on the HC.
