Man that move looks like it has blown up in Scioscia's face bad. I know he had a death in the family, but I think throwing him off of his routine did the damage.

Well that's what I mean. Not saying he won't ever recover, but there is no doubt he is in a funk, and I think the short rest helped to put him in this bad spell.
