Hadn't seen the details of this signing yet, but damn. That's some good shit.EASY A+ signing.
This is just too easy. 2 years $15M does not implicate Seattle (I believe this value also INCLUDES incentives), Wright is 30 but has never shown major injury issues in the past, and has been a standout OLB when healthy. I'm SHOCKED nobody overpaid Wright, but I'm assuming it's because the 4-3 OLB is becoming less of a thing unless you're a major pass rush specialist.
Anyway, Seattle got a steal here. There's two players that Seattle needed to sign to keep their playoff hopes alive. One is still on the franchise tag, but the other was this signing. The LBer/EDGE/DL class is strong this year, but you never want to be locked into drafting a position because you have a major hole. You want flexibility, and Seattle needs help on the DL more than the LBer position with giving up bottom 3 rushing yards.
Wright should probably fire his agent. I'll happily give a nod to contracts like this all day.
I'm really surprised we landed him for that much.
I thought he was a goner.

It's a good signing and I'm happy to have Wright back, but don't forget his "he might miss week 1" knee scope turned into an 11 week absence last season. There is definitely an injury history at this point.
I concur.
I thought he would test the market, which he did, and would outprice the Hawks.
Win-Win for Us Hawk fans, and I believe a win for KJ too.
