I like it. He's 30 but still good with great intangibles. Chemistry, leadership, credibility, experience, all that stuff. If Kendricks gets a bit of a break with his sentencing, this is a fantastic LB group.

EASY A+ signing.

This is just too easy. 2 years $15M does not implicate Seattle (I believe this value also INCLUDES incentives), Wright is 30 but has never shown major injury issues in the past, and has been a standout OLB when healthy. I'm SHOCKED nobody overpaid Wright, but I'm assuming it's because the 4-3 OLB is becoming less of a thing unless you're a major pass rush specialist.

Anyway, Seattle got a steal here. There's two players that Seattle needed to sign to keep their playoff hopes alive. One is still on the franchise tag, but the other was this signing. The LBer/EDGE/DL class is strong this year, but you never want to be locked into drafting a position because you have a major hole. You want flexibility, and Seattle needs help on the DL more than the LBer position with giving up bottom 3 rushing yards.

Wright should probably fire his agent. I'll happily give a nod to contracts like this all day.

Hadn't seen the details of this signing yet, but damn. That's some good shit.

I'm really surprised we landed him for that much.

I thought he was a goner. When he's healthy he's one of the better off the ball linebackers in the NFL and after coming back from injury showed that he still has it.

He and Kendricks are two of the more underrated off the ball OLBs in the NFL.

Very happy to see him back, especially at that price.

It's a good signing and I'm happy to have Wright back, but don't forget his "he might miss week 1" knee scope turned into an 11 week absence last season. There is definitely an injury history at this point.

Yes I somewhat mis-worded. What I meant was no significant injury history prior to last season.

Great signing indeed... I was ready to move on with life w/out him because I didn't think we'd be able to afford him... Team obviously thought highly of him and felt it was important to have the chemistry stay together in the backfield to help speed up the learning curve for the rest of our young defense... Glad we were able to get Hendricks and Wright!

I concur.

I thought he would test the market, which he did, and would outprice the Hawks.
Win-Win for Us Hawk fans, and I believe a win for KJ too.

I have a strong feeling he probably gave us a bit of a discount because from all accounts he really wanted to stay in Seattle.

He looked effin amazing in that Cowboy's playoff game though, looked like his knee had healed well...

Great to have KJ back. All off-season to heal up and hopefully 100% go come week 1.

Bobby, KJ, hopefully Kendricks. That's a really good LB trio. Throw Mingo in there as well as a developing Shaquem Griffin, and lots of reasons to be happy about what is going on at LB.

I was 55/45 on this, more towards the leaving side, but I'm glad he is back
