Thank you. I am a Wizard fan but not as die hard fan as I am with PSU, then Skins, then was Orioles now Nationals (tired of Angelos not spending money), Capitals, then Wizards. I will try to stop by and post once in awhile :hope:

He does very nicely with Wizard-related tweets. Good stuff.

Thanx ... i think i'm going to use the same idea i've been using to post on the wizards board to post on my blog with simple game recaps & DMV sports news. I'm no writer ... but anyone can embed twitter posts etc.

It still needs some tweeking, page loads kind of slow I think ... but I'll take some feedback if anyone want to check it out.

I'm going to turn your funny post and make it serious for a second to help everyone in life.

Not only kids with Autism have behaviors but everyone. Collecting data on behaviors and analyzing what happened before the behavior, then the behavior, then what was the consequence of the behavior.

Bananaman's main behavior was attention. He purposely disagreed with people not because that's what he believed in but because it would draw the most attention to himself. More negative posts will result in more people communicating with him trying to tell him how dumb he is, or how wrong he is but mainly the whole time it was just giving him what he wanted most attention.

Behaviors are normally because of 3 things. 1) Social Attention 2)Wanting Something 3) To escape or avoid a situation.

When you have a child and your making him or her do homework and they get mad and throw something. You normally punish them and send them to their room or a timeout. Now look at like a Behaviorist. You just gave them what they wanted. They didn't want to do HW, so they acted out and you sent them to their room which now they don't have to do any more HW. They did #3 on the list. They wanted to avoid the situation.

Behavior works on wives, husbands, kids, and animals. We all have behaviors. So when working with kids with Autism I first have to understand what the behavior are and why they are doing it, then I can show them how they can get what they wanted without having a negative behavior (hitting self or others) but easier ways to accomplish their needs.

Sorry for the boring paragraphs but just hoping it might help someone reading understand why others are acting the way they are.

I think you just described WFRYE in your Bananaman analogy kinda like the horse whisperer if you have ever seen him work it looks like magic but its based on research of behavior . Back in the old days they might have called you a manipulator or fixer etc and that's not a dig just a observation on my part.

Interesting stuff I do however think you should get plenty of practice just surfing the boards

I'm not doing anything anyone else cant do or observe. Anyone can analyze some ones behavior and its really cool when you can predict things before they happen. Its not so much being a magician but just observing the behavior. I think every parent and teacher should know ABA (applied behavior analysis) because it will work wonders for your kids. You don't need to hit your kids to get them to do something or when they are bad but give them positive reinforcement when they do the correct thing and ignore the bad behavior. When you start ignoring the bannaman's of the world by never responding to their posts you will first get a extinguish burst of bad behavior ( name calling, bad language, posting controversial things, etc.) just for one person to respond. The only time you respond to them (kids, posters, etc.) is when they are acting appropriately. They will start to do the right things because they are getting the attention for doing the right things in life.

It is really hard to do this with posters on forums because it just takes 1 other poster to respond to the posting and now all that effort went out the window. Its easier one on one with kids because you are setting the standard on behavior.

Behavioral Science is pretty interesting. My personal experience has more to do with drug abuse, anxiety issues and other such abuses. Specifically how one changes their behavior or adopts a behavior that will allow them to let go of negative issues and produce positive issues. It's some pretty cool stuff.

Time to make the donuts. I think most of us have us have supported dad as mod. Talk about a post blowing up in your face. There could be something said about this sort of behavior.
