There were definitely some missed calls, a couple when LA was trying to trim the lead. The home team is going to get the benefit of the doubt but either way GS played a better game overall. It wouldn't have mattered. The W's came out like their season was on the line and it was...LA didn't match their energy. It's fine to point out bad calls, I do it plenty but that's not why LA lost last night.

It definitely wasn't the deciding issue last night. The Lakers didn't get that 3rd guy to step up, made far too many turnovers, etc. They got outplayed for the majority of the game. It was just frustrating to see a lot of contact being ignored, only to see and-1s on the other end (often right after the ignored contact) on much less contact.

Ultimately, the only call that really mattered was the hit on AD, but that doesn't stop whatever his injury outcome ends up as anyway. He just would've been either out of the game as unable to take the free throws or up there trying to hit them while woozy.

It's just funny to see Warriors fans suddenly oblivious to any ref issues, lol.

Yeah that was bad call. Guess what? Both teams had the usual share of bad calls. Bad calls are not why the game happened. The Warriors were obviously the better team especially defensively.

Stop being a fucking clown and watch the games with some integrity.

Exactly, and this wasn't a game where the Warriors came out on fire and never looked back either.

At one point in the 2nd half, they were 0-11 from 3. That was a prime opportunity for the Lakers to make a run and maybe take control of the game, but they didn't get it done.

Don't know how it ended up as I haven't looked at the stats, but there was also a point later in the game where the Warriors had outscored the Lakers in the paint.

Paint scoring and defense....the Warriors beat the Lakers at their own game last night.

LOL at "earning" calls being an acceptable ref process.
Who said I was in favor or against what every NBA fan knows has been a thing for decades. Stars get calls. That’s the way it’s always been. A marginally talented Austin Reaves getting calls is a glitch in the matrix.

Very encouraging effort by the Warriors last night. Finally got some consistent help to back up Curry's play. 6 players in double figures with two additional players other than Curry being in the 20's. Think one of the more underrated story lines here was the Warriors ability to get on the glass as an undersized team. They out rebounded a much bigger overall team by 10. That's huge. Additionally the Warriors were able to not shoot themselves in the foot and kept their turnovers down. If you notice any run the Lakers had to fight to get back usually was a result of something like back to back turnovers or poor shot selection.

At least the Warriors live to fight another day. Next game is going to be tough. I hope AD is well enough to play. Warriors will need to continue to do what they've been doing the last few games.

Also some additional love for GP2. Dude has been amazing the last two games.

Anyways. I had a lot to say about the officiating last night but I was drinking. Rewatching it now and it really isn't near as bad as I thought. We all kinda get caught in the moment sometimes, human condition and all.

Bwahahaha! The Lakers are the only team in the league that goes to the basket. Additionally, the Lakers are the only team in the league that defends without fouling.

There is something to the play style difference though.

They attack the basket more than most, have better interior rim protection than most AND aren’t that good at defending the 3 point line.

On top they have a couple guys who get star treatment from officials.

Add it all up and you get a large differential. But most of it does come from play style, IMO.

They also give up a lot of points in transition and from 3. Guard defense is porous, leaving a lot of open perimeter shots.

A historic season long disparity in fouls committed vs fouls received? Some of what you say probably explains that. The Purple and Gold factor does as well though.

Opponents are only making 28% of their FG's this postseason when AD contests a FG's.
