Young was frequently in trouble off the field during his career at Boise State. He was suspended for most of his sophomore season after fighting with a teammate.

So you compare someone that EVERYONE says is a great upstanding citizen who made a terrible mistake with a kid who was 'frequently in trouble' and was suspended for fighting with teammates? Petersen routinely suspends guys for a entire year on a DUI. Michael "Canadian Bacon" Atkinson was suspended a full year on a DUI and we needed him.

Hell, Petersen flew a 5th year senior home from the Fiesta Bowl for missing curfew by 10 minutes. Pete does not play.

From what I can tell he was suspended for 3 games for a DUI where he actually left the scene. He was later suspended again for a different infraction and was in trouble more than those two times. Again, not seeing where anyone was booted off the team as was claimed.

Defensive tackle Michael Atkinson has rejoined the Boise State football team and at least four recruits have been added to the roster, the school reported Tuesday.

Atkinson was suspended for the last nine games of the 2010 season for an unspecified violation of team rules. He previously was suspended for the first three games of 2009 after his arrest on a DUI charge.

So he was suspended for 3 games and then 9 more for AN UNRELATED AND UNSPECIFIED VIOLATION OF TEAM RULES. And, as I said HE WAS NOT KICKED OFF THE TEAM FOR A DUI.

One other little tidbit besides ASJ being underage, crashing his car into a ditch, going into the windshield so hard that he spit his nose open, and being well over two times the legal limit (and that was hours later when they finally were able to draw his blood at the hospital since he refused the breathalizer test at the scene (shocker) so God only knows how fucked up he was)........the cop that pulled Kasen Williams over (underage, BAC at .06) also said that he was swerving all over the road and that his ride reeked of weed.

Sark puts those two kids onto the field for the Boise game after what they fucking did, that my man is complete and utter BULLSHIT.

I'll drop it now, but stand by my earlier comment......no way in shit Petersen plays those kids if the shoe were on the other foot. And you can take it to the bank that those kids would both be thrown off the fucking team or at MINIMUM suspended for multiple games for what they did. Petersen would have suspended those players. They would not be playing for Boise against UW. In fact, Petersen would likely make them sit most of a season as he has done in the past.

He's generally suspended players that commit DUIs for the entire season if it's their first offense. That's how he's handled it in the past. I don't not know how he handles situations were underage kids like Kasen Williams are drinking and driving (but under the legal limit) and smoking weed and it's their first infraction. If I had to speculate I would say a year's suspension there too.

So far the only case that has been presented of a DUI by a BSU player under Petersen was a kid who FLED THE SCENE and was suspended for 3 games. The same kid was in trouble several other times with the team and actually was suspended for 9 games in a different season. Titus Young? Again wasn't booted from the team and wasn't convicted of a DUI, but was a repeat offender on the team as well.

If Petersen has kicked many kids off the team or suspended for the entire season on a first offense it should be easy to find a record of it. I'm still waiting... Until then all we have as a precedent is the kid who had a DUI and left the scene who got 3 games. If we are to compare then it would be more safe to assume he would get between 1 to 3 games based on that example. That is a far cry from a full season for a first offense or booted from the team.

Do you think Petersen was a disgrace of not booting a kid from the team who had a DUI and left the scene of an accident and instead only sat him for 3 games B4L? Where is that outrage at your own coach.
