Washington Trades For Laremy Tunsil

If Dyami did not have those good games, he may not have a job at all. I am not comparing the two. I am comparing your arguments. In one case, age matters. In the other, age doesn’t.

So, I came into this trade neutral but after all your talk of top five Dean, I decided to do a little research. Tunsil is definitely not top five…the top five below is obviously superior to Tunsil. As a matter of fact, Tunsil is not even top ten. Tunsil is middle of the pack and that is going simply by PFF ratings. I would say Tunsil, at best is top 15 but I hold him in lower regard because he had 19 penalties in 2024. That is going to kill us.

First of all. Sowell is a RT. Take him off the list. LT belongs in the top 5. Armstead, Darrisaw, Cross, Raimann, and Mathews are not better than LT IMO.

You are correct on Sowell but Decker is better than Tunsil as well.

Well how do you come to your determination on Tunsil being better?

Tunsil had 19 penalties, gave up 2 sacks, and is OK run blocking.
Armstead had 3 penalties, gave up 3 sacks, and is a far superior run blocker.
Darrisaw was injured so it is unfair to Tunsil for comaparisons but he is a far better run blocker.
Cross had 8 penalties and gave up 6 sacks and is a little better run blocker.
Railman had 6 penalties and gave up 4 sacks but is a far superior run blocker.
Matthews and 8 penalties and gave up 5 sacks. Equally bad run blocker.

The second we gave up has every bit as good a chance at being successful as Tunsil does.

disagree on Decker. Tunsil is a superior athlete with his size. Yes, the false start penalties are a concern. Hopefully it gets cleaned up. As far as pass blocking, he is far superior to anyone on that list.

If only we didn’t need blockers to run. You do understand our offense is about long drives and not having negative plays right? 19 penalties. I haven’t seen another player with double digits.

dont even gk. You and skinsdad are the only ones knocking this trade. People have said LT is fine at run blocking, but his strength is in pass blocking. You are way off on FA salaries and don't understand that we have to protect JD5. Say what you want about LT that's your opinion, bottom line the oline got a hell of a lot better with LT.

the same thing was said a few years ago when i came out against the CDC trade . turns out i was right so just because so called consensus says something doesnt make it right

again LT should fit in well , hope he does , but this wasnt a bargain by any stretch of the imagination .

2026 is projected to be a BETTER draft then 2025 and the 4th rounder in 2025 is PROJECTED to be of LESSER TALENT then the 4th rounder in 2026

trading for LT is a good thing . he is better at left tackle then Coleman . but the price is way to high . much rather have just offered a 3rd and settled for the 2nd rather then give up 3 more picks (one of which is a "swap" for lesser talent )

People say a lot of things that are untrue. Refute my actual statements. We are an offense that counted on long and efficient drives all season. We were seldom behind the chains and when we were, bad things happened. Tunsil had 19 penalties. The next closest I saw was 9.

I was wrong on Dyami but that doesn’t make me foolish. It makes a dumb franchise what they are…dumb. I nailed several others and typically go by spot tax for estimations.
