All because of one little faggy catcher who's girly leg bones couldn't handle a collision.
Would have been so much better and easier to give Posey the Pete Rose treatment.

If this face isn't next to Douchebag in the dictionary the whole damned book be burnedTrue that.
His face just has that special look of punchability.
Shouldn't be. And neither should blocking the plate, but Buster Posey is a brittle bitch with glass leg bones, so we don't have that anymore either.
Scott Cousins for President!
Absolutely. If the catcher would have stayed on the plate then no, but he cleared the path well before Rizzo took his cheapshot

Yeah it did appear that Rizzo was trying to take him out... Can't do that with a catcher anymore
It's a gay rule that's only there because a gay catcher in a gay city got hurt.
Change it back.
Tell me how you really feel about him, haha
I'm sure he's a swell feller IRL, but when you have a lame ass rule named after you, you bring the criticism on yourself.
Too bad they didn't ban third basemen from snagging a grounder down the line and jumping into foul territory to throw to first. That's how Chipper tore his ACL in what we feared could be a career ender considering his age(it was arguably the best defensive play Chipper made in his entire career too)
Star players get hurt sometimes. Don't make knee jerk rule changes because of it.
Rizzo has instigated a few sessions. I doubt it was malicious but it was a part of the game that doesn't need to continue. Can’t argue with any of your comments on the Umps. I don’t have an opinion on Rizzo personally, though. I don’t think the play was malicious or over zealous, it was simply outside the rules as they exist right now.
well didn't they do the same thing with 2nd after a player got hurt?
and of course.. How dare players jump into foul territory to try and make a catch, it's foul territory, the NERVE!
I am I now full agreement. But if you are raised to play the game a certain way, it is hard to change your mindset. Especially when the new rules are still in their infancy.Rizzo has instigated a few sessions. I doubt it was malicious but it was a part of the game that doesn't need to continue.
I actually believe that the batter should be able to bring the bat with them as they circle the bases. Anything that happens is just part of the game.I don't like that rule either.
Maybe they should also ban running into the wall trying to make a catch. Outfielders get hurt doing that numerous times a season.

We like your suggestions for safetyI don't like that rule either.
