So far after 3 games (2 @ home) Miller has 1 W 2 L with a 3.40 GAA
and a .880 SVPCT.

OUCH!

Is it too early to tell, or do you think he is Tim Thomas 2.0?

I'll hang up and listen.

Last season wasn't Miller's only good year, just his best. He's been a good goalie for a long time, although he was superhuman last year. It'll be a hard year to top, but he's still a top five goalie in the league until he proves otherwise.

I realize that Miller has always put up good numbers considering the team he is on, but it seemed to me that he had such a great year last season with a Sabres team that still lacked a good defense in front of him.

I was hoping that he had reached a level in his play that he could sustain or improve down the road. This setback has to suck for him right now, and I hope he doesn't dwell on it.

He hasn't been the same since the Crosby winner in Vancouver at the Olympics...I don't say this to be mean, I just think somebody needs to remind him that the US isn't even in the gold medal game without Miller standing on his head.

As soon as he steals a couple of games for Buffalo, he'll get out of this mini-funk.

I disagree. Miller was the main reason why the Sabres even won the Division and made the PO's IMO. He had a few bad games, but overall I didn't see any slump in his play after the Olympics.

If it wasn't for the Sabres inept offense and abysmal PP, the Sabres would of beat the Bruins to advance IMO.

I agree that he must hate Crosby though. :D

Thanks for bringing that up, Dash. From one American to a Canadian, you can go...

He will be fine most of the goals that have beat him are from the defense looking for Easter eggs or something.

He hasn't had a chance on most of the goals. The defense played great in Ottawa and let ONE odd man rush go that Miller had no chance on.

The goals against the Rangers had four from the slot with the Sabres defense in la la land.

Trust me The Miller will be fine, the defense I'm not so sure about.

Have faith in The Miller or he will take out his anger on horses on heroin. :)

I should have added that The Miller controls rebounds better than any goalie in the NHL. He plays his angles right and fundamentally sound. He will be fine.

I always thought he was overrated by a lot of people. Last year was the first year that I didn't think he was. He really stood out and played damn well. Last year I think he over achieved and is now coming back down to reality.

Now I must go and hide in the corner and wait for the backlash from this post....
