Question? Are you all saying that Bill Belichick is making highly questionable decisions as head coach of the Patriots? Are you saying that appointing Matt Patricia as offensive Line coach is a stupid choice and that Joe Judge as TE cach is equally questionable? Or you talking out of both sides of your mouth? I'm having a great deal of difficulty rationalizing total unadultrated respect for BB, yet claiming his selection of coaches for 2022 sucks so far. What are you saying?

So what is it? Genius? First Stage Dementia? Seriously, from the cheap seats, he can't be both and you can't totally respect everything he does except.....................

I'm conerned that he just might be having problems filling spots. Seems like every other NFL team is moving at light speed to get their coaching staffs together well before free agency and the 2022 draft. Or is it that Bill doesn't think he needs those positions filled. Why?

In all honesty. If you owned the Patriots, would you be silently watching this off-season unfold?
In BB I trust.

And I may openly question his decisions and voice my displeasure when they do not provide immediate results, but I trust he is playing the long game. He is not out there giving buddies free room and board, he is doing what he feels is best for the team.

Be it as it may, I dont believe that anyone who has a personal ownership of the third most valuable sports franchise on the planet can just sit in his ffice or living room and not ask questions. Or make suggestions. I don'believe that any one of us would send two months in Florida awayfrom the snow, ice and freezing cold and not be making calls back north at least twice a week. I've got a halfmillion dollar IRA nd I've been in my broker's BVDs since last Thursday because I've taken a $70,000 hit as of yesterday and I want to know what the fuck he's doing to protect my money. I'd sure as hell be up BB's ass if I owned the Patriots which is worth just a bit more.

I never said that you said it. Nor did I put words in your mouth.
I simply asked for clarification.
To which you took offense for some reason.

Try not to be so thinned skinned and easily offended.
I am not thin skinned at all and don't play the semantics game either. You know full well the intent of your comment. I hope to Jesus Matt P can be a decent O Line coach lord knows we need it. I just feel it's a gamble when there were proven commodities available. I guess BB is take the Risk vs Reward approach over the do some research and hire an experienced guy approach.

Who are the "available proven commodities " for the OLine coaching spot? If they are available/unemployed are they really that good??
Never said they were unemployed I had mentioned a guy like Joe Rudolph out of Wisconsin. There are some great O Line coaches in the college ranks that I feel would be a better option at least from an experience stand point

And how do you know that Bill and the Kraft's did not reach out to anyone else?

You've also stated you think other assistant coaches might not want to Coach here because of Belichick. Show me 1.... just 1 quote from an assistant coach who said "Yeah.. Patriots got in contact with me about the OC job. Fuck that! I ain't coaching for that schmuck". OC's and DC's become head coaches because they learned under Belichick.
Charlie, I don't have to show anyone anything. It's my opinion.

I do believe: (MY OPINION)
1. Bill is still somewhat in the late 90's and early 2000's in his attitude and approach. He's had success and refuses to alter his thinking.
2. He's 70 years old. As in good physical condition that one may think he's in, age has a way of changing everything whether you want to admit it or recognize it. BB does not have an exception from God or the Reaper.
3. BB is a control freak, whether you or anyone else believes different, he controls everything to do with the team.
4. He's never had a serious medical problem (publicly known) and has never had to take a step back to re-evaluate himself. (More than likely, any serious hit now will either permanently disable him or kill him. I had a stroke at 55 and 5 coronary bypasses at 55. I had a new heart valve and stents at 69. Believe me, been there, got the tee shirt)
5. His refusal to name a DC over the past three years is the perfect indication of refusal to relinquish any control of the defense.

6. I don't care what anyone else thinks about my opinions and all of the name calling, insults and cajoling won't change my mind.

@BigKen. My opinion is that your opinions are asinine. Maybe take your own advice
on old people and buy that boat and sail away into the sunset. Retire from making an ass of yourself on public forums. Your opinions are so far fetched and ridiculous. I literally shake my head with every post you put out there.

Here's my opinion. BK is so upset that Belichick hasn't reached out to him about coaching that he has to bash him whenever he can. I mean BK has 80 years experience coaching peewee league football. He can definitely teach Belichick on coaching fundamentals.

How do we know they did?

It has no bearing on whats in place now.
We don't know that they did or did not.

Bearing is that YOU would feel more comfortable with a different person at that position.
Maybe that person;
A) Does not want to be here
B) Does not want to be anywhere but where he is
C) Is not as qualified for a different reason than just can coach an O line at the college level.

Okay I'm done your last post makes it clear to me the path you plan to take with this. I'll not banter back and forth when obtuse behavior becomes the go to tactic

Well...Bill IS 6 and 3 in the big game by doing what he does.
No other active HC has more than 1 win.
In fact Bill has more wins in an equal amount of appearances as all other active Super Bowl winning coaches combined. They are all 4 and 5.

Andy is 1 and 2
Tomlin is 1 and 1
McFly is 1 and 1
Pete is 1 and 1

Bill can just keep being Bill because it works.
