Got a question here but if anyone else wants to use the thread for their own questions, feel free

Half-PPR league and I'm looking for a replacement for Evan Engram as he might be out for more games considering its a hamstring injury. I picked up Taysom Hill once Engram was ruled out right before kickoff as he looked to be the most upside of a bad bunch, but now Hill is injured as well. Options I'm looking at right now are

Mike Gesicki: Bengals don't have much of a run game, probably gonna have to throw a lot. He had a lot of targets/catches in week 2. In week 1, he had a TD but it got called back so he's getting some redzone looks too (overall week 1 numbers weren't good). Burrow talks well of him and it seems they have a good connection

Hunter Henry: Pats suck on offense, but Henry is basically their only reliable pass catcher. Put up good numbers in week 2 after a nothing week 1.

I'm leaning Gesicki but what's giving me pause is he has the same bye week as Engram (week 12). Henry is week 14. Normally I don't roster two TEs anyway, but TE is a hellscape right now so its probably worth it to hold onto anyone that has potential value. So is it worth it to pick up Gesicki and just deal with the bye week situation later (it is a long ways off right now, a lot can change) or just go with Henry, avoid the potential bye week issue because their production isn't really all that different

When Higgins comes back, Gesicki might not be as "valuable". I'd lean Henry.

Perine worth picking up over Charbonnet? Different league than the one above though still half-ppr. I don't really need either and probably won't get Perine anyway given waiver order. Just wondering if its a worth a shot. Might not be much difference either way considering KC's situation could be more a true committee. I'm also just not that much a fan of Charbonnet, who really sucks at rushing and is more a TD dependent flex. Pundits have hyped him up the last 2 years and he never really delivers.

At the moment, KC has yet to sign Hunt, although I fully expect..but..until that happens, I would expect Perine to get more 'fantasy relevant' touches than Carson Steele.

I fully agree that Charbonnett sucks- been saying that since before he was ever drafted by Seattle. But if you have Walker, he's more roster worthy than Perine. I have yet to hear any status on Walker, but considering he was not immediately ruled out last week early on, I have to assume he'll be back next week or week 4 at the latest. If you do not have Walker- first try and trade him to the Walker owner, second, if that doesn't work, yes I'd rather have Perine- at least up unitl they sign Hunt- if they sign him. Sketchy situation at the moment.

Henry. Bengals also have Erick All, who could vulture Gesicki's production as he gets more snaps. Plus, Higgins is nearing a return, which will take more targets away from Gesicki.

Perine should have a longer window of use as well (6 weeks or so expected). Charbonnet will be a week to week proposition.

I think there is too much in question for the KC backfield unless there are no other options on the WW. I am taking a shot in the dark in one league and putting in a waiver for Hunt bc I would try couch potato Hunt more than Perine or the rookie in that backfield honestly. So basically I am trying to stay away at all costs

Indeed. To hard to say who is worth rostering with the Chiefs. Some say Perine. I'd lean more towards Steele as he's more likely to get goal line rushes, then there is Hunt lurking. It's a mess and none is probably the best answer.

Robinson is easily the most seasoned, dependable option Stafford has left, but I'd say Tyler Johnson is likely the guy that is a 'playmaker'. Tutu might not be a horrible dart throw either

Only guy I'd wanna put a dollar on is Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson is gone in basically all my leagues already. Robinson too. In one deep league I put in a waiver for Tutu just as a shot in the dark.

If it is between Robinson and Johnson it's pretty equal right now. No clear cut way either way...so that is tough. Johnson probably has more upside, maybe more risk?

KC signed Hunt to the practice squad. That fat bastard Andy Reid lied when he said they would stick with their guys! But yeah, Ima stay away from this backfield now. Like I said, I don't really need it, there's 5 people ahead of me in waivers anyway

They're all about the same at this point. Stafford has done well with Robinson in the past so that's why he's getting the pundit love. Just take whichever one is available. In most competitive leagues, Robinson is probably already gone and I suspect Johnson might be gone in a number of them as well
