Great player, lousy person. At minimum, maybe.

Maybe, let's see what the market is. We haven't had a guy in the middle like him since Trotter.

Not correct. You are absolutely opposite in your perception of him. Dirty player, great person and teammate. He is a very low key, down to earth guy off the field. He is a great teammate and leader. However, his game is an older school players game, al la Singletary, Taylor, etc. He likes to hit, he likes to hurt, he likes to win. He doesn't care what it takes as long as he wins. With that said, he has had like 4 or 5 concussions in the last two years. He is at the end of his career.

If that is the case, we need a MLB. If he has had that many concussions, maybe it is time for him to hang it up.

Thank you for accurate feedback, coming from a Bengals fan. The perception is that he's a terrible person because he's a head-hunter on the field, not always the case.

Having said that, I think it's in the Eagles best interests to avoid him unless he's a mid-season plug-in if one of our 'backers goes down with an injury. Burfict seems like a Schwartz type of player, he likes his defenders with edge and swagger.

I think LeVeon Bell and AB would be more welcome to the Steelers than Burfict.

Even if you put aside his considerable rep for dirty play, he is a poor fit for our scheme. We like speedy linebackers who can cover. He's more of a classic thumper.

Gruden signed him the day after he was released.
