After signing day is when the true offseason begins. Then we have to twiddle our thumbs until the Spring Game.

What a great recruiting class for the Hokies.

It's a solid class, even without these last superstars, but I'm looking forward to seeing them sign on as well!

It's going to be a good year for VT football!

I'd guess that Blue will NOT get that offer from Miami, ALOT of signees...seems the U has a good shot w Darius Hamilton (down to Rutgers and Miami) and Tracy Howard (Miami and Florida)...would guess they would sign atleast one of these guys...prob Howard

I think that we end up with Blue, Stanford, and the big three...

Taraschke, Conte, T. Smith, Dooley and Wright will greyshirt.

I'm thinking only three of the players you mention will have to prep/greyshirt. Then again, you may be correct.

Here's what I think at the current time:

Prep/Greyshirt: 3 - Counts against 2013
--------------
Wright
Smith
Conte

2012 Regular Arrivals: 25 - 2012 Class Limit
--------------------
*Blue (If MIami doesn't offer/sign him)
*Caleb (We'll know tomorrow am)
*Kirven (We'll know tomorrow am)
*Ekanem (We'll know tomorrow am)
Stanford
Willenbrock
Taraschke
Williams
Vandyke
Tookes
Smith
Riley
Motley
McKinnon
Mangus
Jones
Jackson
Irick
Harris
Frye
Edmunds
Dooley
Clarke
Baron
Greene

2012 Early Signees: 2 - Counts against 2011
------------------
Manning
Coleman

Does it make sense to greyshirt the two more that 46n2 if they're not ready to contribute? Then we could decide whether to count them towards this year or next year depending on who we sign in 2013, right?

His offer depends on whether or not they lose 4* LB Reggie Northrup to FSU or not. Or at least if Miami thinks they're going to lose him.

It really depends on how many open slots Dr. Ballein projects for 2013. The fewer the numbers of players who leave the program in 2012, the fewer the number of slots available for 2013. I tend to play it a little on the safe side and try to get as many signees in early counting toward 2011, and for the regular 2012 season (up to 25) as I can. That allows you to have more open slots for 2013.

It also depends on how many of the players are willing to greyshirt if they absolutely don't need to prep. Kids in that position have to be pretty mature to take that six-month period getting physically ready for D1 ball and academically ready for college courses.

TJ Millweard will have to fight for the QB job. Devin Fuller just committed to UCLA.

That is assuming Fuller will play QB at UCLA. Either way you look at it, it is kinda funny. Don't look now, but Millweard still has time to pull chocks and go somewhere else!!

Volnation posters saying Bama told Kirven they have a spot for him, and supposedly Shurbutt said Bama is likely to sign Kirven

why have sentiments changed so drastically in the last 24 hours? what could alabama possibly have done since last night to change the mood about kirven? seems kinda weird to me
