I live in Raleigh and all I hear about is K.Marshall. Not sure what Mangus has to offer. Does Mangus committing hurt our chances at Harris, Gurley, or Brown?

Harris yes. The other 2 are long shots, especially Brown. The coaches have informed the recruits they are only taking 2 RBs.

Blue got suspended for something that happened on the field, but I am not sure what. I will check around but since he is an out of state guy, I am not even really sure where to look.

6 game suspension for shoving a guys face into the ground during a game, but only a 1 to 4 games suspension for $$$, hookers, yachts and parties.

I don't want to get into specifics, but the recruits will be aware of the situation. Think of it as soft recruiting from there on out.

Cyrus Jones has set his official visit to VT on Sept 13th. Still a long shot of a commitment but a OV can never hurt.

For the record this will be his first trip ever to VT.

Jones is visiting the 17th, which is the Arky St game.

Jones has tentative plans to announce his college decision at the Under Armour All-American Game in January. He has scheduled official visits to Virginia Tech (Sept. 17) and Notre Dame (Oct. 22), and plans to set up official trips to Auburn and Alabama as well. He’s unsure what school will receive his fifth visit, but is committed to taking a fifth trip.

I think it shows an actually interest from him. By coming to a less than glamorous game, it tells me the kid wants to see what VT has to offer and isn't coming just to see a game. That's what I feel Manning is doing by going to his OV to big games. But with Jones, he is visiting early so he should have all the coaches' attention that weekend. I'm just glad for the visit. I have a feeling JC is working it with Jones.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm guessing the Tech staff will be looking at Blue's on-field behavior and punishment very closely. If I were a member of the staff, I'd want to know if this was a one-time event or is it indicative of repeated bad behavior.

I liked Blue's highlight film quite a bit, but this could open the door for another LB or perhaps a third RB.
