If we can get a 1st for curry id do it in a heartbeat. But I dont see it.

1. Curry wants to be an eagle, it would break the kids heart.

2. No team will trade away a 1st round pick for a non starting potential DE.

3. He is very valuable to our rotation. Shipping him off means replacing him which = one more whole to fill. We really only have 4 pass rushers, 1 (cole) is long in the tooth, 1 (graham) may not even be on the roster next year and cox can only do so much vs the pass when he is our first line against the run. So anything less than a 1 isnt worth it.

but for a 1... im on board.

It's a stretch to even think we'd get a #2. He isn't a starter. Let's not kid ourselves. Anyway, they won't trade him, as you pointed out, he's a very good pass rusher, and they don't grow on trees.

No, you keep him and use him exactly the way he was used this year, as a situational pass rusher.

I think you'd be lucky to get a 3.

I doubt he would cause problems but Im sure he also wants to start. Thing is, if we dont trade him now..he'll be lost as a FA after this coming season. Being an Eagle fan as a kid only goes so far...He does have value to us for this year but wouldnt be smarter to get a potential starter at another pos.? Idk..id probably take a 3rd but I think he could fetch at least a 2nd. Either way, you could use that pick on a future starting OG, ILB, CB or S.

Why? Seriously....why trade a good defensive lineman. The defense have one bright spot this season and that was the defensive line.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Curry and Boykin represent quandrys for the Eagles this offseason. They are both good players but not good enough to be starters on this team. I can see both being traded or both being kept. In Curry's situation it really depends on what Chip thinks of the other Oregon bust he drafted last year in Hart. If he thinks Hart can play then I think Curry could get dealt.

Totally different players. If Hart does do anything, he's a fill-in player. Not expected to make big plays like Curry can.

We certainly need to hit on at least 4 guys this year. Last year killed us. Outside of Mathews none of them including beau allen is a certified future starter.

Id say allen and huff looks like future contributers, but you dont stay good for very long by getting 1 starter and 2 possible backups in your draft. Every draft needs to net at least 2 starting quality players and 2 solids just to STAY competitive. We cannot live and die by Free agents and trades.

Chip needs to stay the hell out of the war room from now on plain and simple.

A bit premature don't you think? Especially for a 5th rounder. I actually liked Hart as a late round flyer -- I don't expect him to be a flashy player, but I think he could develop into a very nice rotational, underrated player. He might not amount to anything like some think here, but let's give our rookie class a few years before we start labeling players bust.
