13 seconds left...no timeouts....3rd down.

Your kicker has a big leg and was hitting 50+ like nothing doing.
Bridgewater had already been sacked once and barely escaped another sack on the drive

You have to suck it up and kick the ball on 3rd down
There was just too much to risk for maybe 5 yards of kicking distance that wasn't truly needed.

If it was second down, you run a play. Not on 3rd down.

No, if you have a QB that knows how to play the position he has one quick out read and just tosses it if there's nothing there. Bridgewater for whatever reason wanted to hang in there and step into one. Fucking stupid.

This. Any vet QB would've known what to do in that situation. Bridgewater got greedy and got introduced to the world famous Dwight Freeney spin move as a result.

Well you can't say Minnesota didn't have their chances. Hero of the game was obviously Mike Iupati with that clutch reception to get the first down on the game winning drive.

Old man still has some gas left.

This one bothered me a lot more than Denver, because we were in FG range. Walsh is far from automatic, but it's better than getting greedy and taking a shot at the end zone is such a stupid idea.

Don't know why Minn coaches did not send the FG unit out there. Knuckleheads. With that little time left on the clock, a number of things could have happened to kill the clock before getting another play.

Why does Zimmer always look like he just got off the ski slopes?

Agree. All kind of things can go wrong, not just strip sacks, but perhaps a penalty which knocks them out of FG range if not running off the rest of the clock. Vikes worked too hard not to take that game to overtime and give themselves a chance to win. Zimmer blew it in my opinion.

Arizona really tried hard to give this one to the Vikes with their conservative play calling. I would pass every down against this team with that banged up secondary. Vikes just not ready for prime time just yet but played a real good road game and hung in there with 3 turnovers against a 2 seed in the conference. I'll take the moral victory tonight. :suds:

The Cards were lucky to come away with a win. They made just enough plays to win but also made too many mistakes. They left at least 7 points on the field. I think having a short week really bogged down the offense on 3rd downs & in the redzone.

Vikes left at least 7 points on the field too (Rhodes dropped a likely pick six that hit him right in the hands). But it goes in the books as a win for the Cards, which is all that they needed to do.
