Meh. I wouldn't get too down if that's what you're alluding to. Get an offseason to get Meredith back and a WR and see what happens. This was always going to be an uncomfortable start with what was around him in the offense. You know it, I know it, everyone who pays attention knows it.

On the Smith Int, it looked like he was out of bounds and came back in. I thought you couldn't be the first to come back in and make a catch... or does that only apply to the offense?

To be fair, Trubisky didn't look bad tonight. That pick late in the 4th wasn't so good, but he's not going to play Minny's D every week.

Yeah, I know man. I wasn't under any illusions that we were suddenly going to be a playoff team with Trub. I just wanted that game, and definitely didn't want to see us lose it on an INT from him. It also sucks because we squandered so many opportunities early. I'm still on the fence about that holding call on Wheaton, on the Howard TD. I think that's tic-tac.

It feels like every other game I watch this year, you hear the announcers going; "And penalties, the story of this game!"... "A play without a penalty! Of course not!"... SO MANY games this year, it feels like are being controlled by the officials and flags. It's really hurting the quality of the game. I don't know if they decided to step up how tight they're calling it or what... but it's noticeable.
