Hard to give TOO much respect when he only averaged 50 more YPG, than their RB, but a couple more years and a more opened offense, and his true value can be measured. Last year was about AP. I would like to see AP come nowhere near his goal of 2500 yds this year. If he does, its a failure on the offense as a whole and not a good sign for Ponder's development.

I'd say the only way AP gets close to his goal is IF Ponder can take the top off of defenses this season. I'm not in the majority when I say I like Ponder. He had shit to throw too last season, worse receiving corp in the NFL......By a big margin.

Your receivers sucked for sure, but I still think if he goes for 2500, it is a bad thing. If they can be a semblance of a threat passing, it can only help AP, if for no other reason than him staying fresher, and not having to shoulder such a load.

For sure, but not so much in the passing game. He's not a deep threat, more of a 5 to 10 yard guy that'll get the YAC yards. Great kick returner and out of the backfield as well.

Im not sure how that'll work out. I'd say he's already behind all the rookies because he's been playing QB, not WR. I'm sure he needs developing.
