Man, life sucks right now. Vikings will never turn things around. freeman can blow his knee out for all I care. Vikes fans should quit showing up at the games for now on. outside of peterson, there is no talent on this team. most football fans deserve to laugh at the vikings right now.

Drafting Christian Ponder is ultimately going to prove to be a mistake. It sincerely seemed like the Vikes were doing some great things the last couple of drafts, and none of the talent has developed. Leslie Frazier looks clearly overmatched, he needs to go.

Fire Frazier, and then find a franchise quarterback and I think they can be pretty good. They have some pieces in place.

I wonder if Greg Jennings regrets going to Minnesota?

Teams that are QB black holes (pun partially intended) do desperate things when it comes to acquiring QBs. I had Ponder as a 5th round prospect, but the Vikings needed a QB so badly they were like a gambler borrowing money to double down & win his money back.

Ponder was always a puzzling pick to me.... but was so Locker and every QB that went in that draft. Might as well gamble on QBs early and get them for cheap! That draft class wasn't particularly great either.

Regardless, Ponder was a bust of a pick. He never had the arm strength... and of course since I have to spell it out for some dork that will post, "DOWNFIELD THROWS AREN'T EVERYTHING!" all the out routes and hooks that are money 90% of the time and secure 1st downs/win games against conservative defenses are mitigated with a weaker arm.

Never understood people's love affair with Ponder coming out and felt the Vikes screwed up taking him. This is just yet another example of what happens when you miss on a QB. Your franchise just toils around aimlessly for years. The only positive is the new CBA doesn't make it so expensive so you have a little flexibility.

As bad as Ponder is, he is the better option over Freeman and Cassel. You gotta just play out Ponder the rest of the year and then look to the draft.

Ponders not the answer but there is no WAY he would've been worse than Freeman last night. I don't think I've ever seen a worse display of accuracy from a pro QB in my life...:omg:

I am looking forward to another prime time game heading to MN to see the Sunday night Viking/Packer game. I hope the game is at least competitive.

Arm strength is hugely important. Its not everything but it helps a offense big time having a QB that can make the throws. I know because my team has had weak arm QBs for years.

Not that Sanchez had a weak arm, he just didn't have a great arm. Pennington had a weak arm.
