Victor Cruz - Throwing OBJ under the bus?

Remember when some of the Giants receivers went to South Beach to party with Justin Beiber and take topless photos on a boat before their NFC wild-card game against the Packers, which resulted in a loss and Odell Beckhamreportedly punching a hole in the wall?

I hate to even bring it up again, but the story resurfaced Monday, when Victor Cruz admitted to the "Timeout with Taylor Rooks" podcast that the Giants wideouts "definitely" shouldn't have gone to Miami.

"Looking back on it, it definitely wasn't worth it," Cruz said. "At the end of the day you want to put your mind in a place where you want to succeed at whatever your next task is -- especially in a football setting and a football atmosphere."

i think cruz thought he was gonna get to have some straight sex on that boat and obj and "da fellaz" had other plans. i'd have been pretty disappointed in that choice, too.

No one will ever know if the trip caused the Giants to lose? But, playing in NY or any big media market you can't allow anything to become a distraction. It was fun for fodder for the rest of us but really not that big of a deal. Especially considering what a douche OBJ had been all year. They deserved the criticism.

I agree. Some people just don't understand how much team chemistry or lack thereof can have an affect on a team.
