Seemed like there was no effort out there. They gave up 29 rebounds to some no-name guy that no one has ever heard of. That points to an extreme lack of effort. Fareid got 17 rebounds and I can almost understand that because that is what he does. But 29 for their Center, and 23 points to boot? That is unacceptable.

It was strange to watch because there were absolutly no adjustments to try and counteract the onslaught of offensive rebounds the Nuggets got. Jackson was helpless and the Warriors were effortless.

I think the most telling stat was that Iguodala, Green and Thompson had a combined 8 rebounds in the game while Steph had 7 by himself. That's completely unacceptable. If Lee is going to be out, we need guys to hit the boards. That's one thing that we're going to miss from DLee is his rebounding ability.

The Warriors played all facets of the game very well yesterday, except for rebounding. They defended well and held the Nuggets to 37.5% shooting from the field and 29% from 3 pt range. They also turned them over 16 times. I think they got complacent in the first half when they built that big lead. Also Jackson needs some blame here too for not adjusting. Neither Mozgof or Faried are threats from the outside, so down the stretch there should have been no reason not to pair JO and Bogut together.

Denver was on a back to back so the Warriors inability to match their energy on the boards was inexplicable. They better beat the rag tag Lakers tonight.

Jackson wanted to prove a point and benched the starters other than Bogut because of their lack of focus. What he should've done is call a timeout when the bench wasn't able to keep up, and let the starters know that they need to put pressure on and keep it on. Instead, he let Denver get back into the game and it was over. I put this one on Jackson just as much as the starters for their lack of focus after the initial push.

I have absolutely no problem with Jackson benching his starters to prove a point. The only problem is that if you're going to do it, do it for the entire game and not just a portion. The reason being is that if you're benching them only to put them back in to try and win it, is that it gives them the "turn it on" mentality. You can't just turn it on when you want to. Even against a team like Denver, they're still an NBA team with pride. They're not going to just roll over for you.

Either call a timeout to chew them out and put them right back out there or bench the unit and let them watch guys who want to be out there hustling. Then you just have to live with the result and let it be a teaching moment.

Yep. Jackson looked really bad, like he had no idea whatsoever how to counteract those offensive boards the Nuggets were getting. He reminds me so much of the Singletary situation with the 49ers.

It was another home shitshow with crappy D, this time manifesting in poor rebounding. I can't see this team beating the Clippers.

The D wasn't crappy held Denver to 37% shooting but the rebounding killed us alone and that's it

Ummm... a huge part of defense IS rebounding. And it was crap.

I hate to agree with this shitbird, but he is right on this one.
