Servers or former servers tend to tip the best because they know how dependant servers are on tips.

If I make 100 dollars in tips ill walk with 80 after I tip out my bartenders, bussers, food runners. On top of that that 80 dollars is taxed. Ill work 60 hours a pay period and get a 100 paycheck. Tips are how I survive.
