Looked good against Trinidad & Tobago. So we shall see.

Seriously considering a trip to Arlington to catch a double header this weekend. Prices are actually reasonable ($70 to $200) for two matches. Waiting to see if the grandsons are interested in a trip down.

Assume these are the 2 games.... I would definitely like to see States play live once in my life... living abroad doubtful that will happen... could have a good chance in 2030 when World Cup partially comes to Argentina.

Got to see USA vs Costa Rica... I hope to get game on Wednesday as well.

A lot of subs as many starters not on the squad... unsure why, but sounds like "star" players may not like the coach.

USA looked like the better team... liked Luna and Tillman, USA controlled middlefield for large stretches. Freeze did exceptional in the penalties phase stopping 3.

Arfsten scored other goal... but he was a sieve at left back... gave up penalty and allowed the 2nd goal that Costa Rica had no business scoring IMO

I had absolutely no hope for this team going into this but now I am liking them. Do I think they will win it all? No

Well have to understand that for a team like the United States despite us being a big country, winning it all isn't the bare minimum for a success.

The final four would still be an amazing accomplishment. I finally would be a solid result.

Do you have to at least make it to the final 16 imo.

Winning it is what would turn my viewpoint of this team. Ok, getting there I guess would suffice as well but for me they have to win

For me, a win in the knockout stage would be a definite step forward for this team. Anything above that would be pretty damned amazing.

Yeah I was just kind of adding on because the field is expanded this year so it would be a round of 32 knockout win versus a round of 16 knockout win in years past so it's a little bit watered down
