I dislike that it Jackson penalty. I get that it is, but I just don't like the rule.

He didn't slide. It's a continuation of the tackle.

Also really wanted that guy to go to ASU. Apparently it came down to legacy status at USC, where the kid was waffling and leaning ASU but dad won out. Ironically, he also had a better chance to start at USC than ASU as a true frosh.

Major thing I've noticed recently. I don't know if they're tired or what, but USC looks slower than you'd expect. They just don't have the athletes they used to have.

Sometimes teams look slow because they're taking a long time to react to plays, they're unsure what they're seeing

Good point. Could be the case.

Also nice play by Pola-Mao. Wanted him for ASU too. I thought when Bolden went to USC, he'd go to ASU but they both did. On the flipside, I think we wound up with Evan Fields so... We did pretty fucking ok anyway.

I know it well because our defense looks slow as fuck early in games, then suddenly we get faster as the game progresses

It's just a weird contrast for me, but you're probably right. I'm seeing ASU guys flying everywhere, but ASU seems really well coached by pros. And USC seems very poorly coached, but they -look- like they should be killers.

I really, really hope Urban doesn't get the job. I'd rather they plug in another random fuck up, like they have been since Pete left.

I think the younger guys actually have a lot of talent...

That QB of yours is one of them, that guy is tough. I was impressed by his clutch plays against a tough defense last week

He and the freshman guard are both really good. The current 2nd years are the cream of the crop though. Butler, Robertson and Johnson are killers at LB, Crosswell is a stud at safety and Lole is going to be the best defensive lineman we've had since Sweet Willie.
