USA Today way-too-early college football Top 25 for 2020

Michigan is likely to be underrated. 2020 is most definitely their year! I'd have them at #3 or #4. (I've never made this prediction before, so don't do a search for it. Just believe me and don't look it up)

I think it's reversed. Especially in a down ACC. Beating Clemson may eliminate the ACC altogether, assuming Clemson wins the ACC. Plus I think there's a better chance Wisconsin loses multiple games next year than Clemson.

I just think if you beat Wisconsin, the pressure would be off against Clemson. If you lose, the pressure is really on.

It would have been no different than Oregon this year had they not lost to Arizona State.

Looking through the committees' lenses I think losing to a 2/3 loss Wisconsin, and beating a 1 loss Clemson(which is towards the end of the year), is better than beating a 3/4 loss Wisconsin and losing to an undefeated Clemson. At that point there are two teams eliminated (Wisconsin and Clemson) as opposed to just 1(Wisconsin).

If you think that Wisconsin can beat you AND have 2-3 losses, you are badly mistaken. They have a stout schedule, but ND is still the best team on that schedule.

With everything they're losing, I don't know how you can put Clemson #1. They're potentially going to lose every key piece on both sides of the ball outside of Lawrence and Ross, including replacing 4/5 starting O-linemen.

They had some decent recruiting classes the past few years, the fact they've lost one game the past two seasons (a national title game at that), and they are returning the best player (a QB) in the country next year, I can't think of an easier preseason #1 team.

Maybe they will be proven a fraud next season, but they've got some FREAKY talented guys on that team. I'd be more shocked if they literally didn't run away with the season next year. Losing that game may end up lighting a hard fire under their rear ends.

Well, I'll accept your apology in 2023 after Harbaugh's third straight national title win. He'll then leave the University for the NFL, where he will take over the Lions and win most of the remaining SB's in the 2020's.

Nothing can stop it now...so just enjoy the ride.

But they also has been averaging high stars even when not a "top" class. Checking average stars per rivals.com , 2016 (6th), 2017 (4th), 2018 (3rd).

Their budget must have been larger for the 2020 class.

I can see a real possibility of Wisconsin beating ND and then lose to a Minnesota and/or Michigan and then OSU in the B1GCG. There's your 2 losses. Plus, maybe there's another upset like Illinois next year.

I appreciate it, but I'd rather build a cement basketball court in my back yard. So why don't we just agree to that. If you are having second thoughts though, I'll let you back out up until right after his second national title at Michigan. After that, I'm not letting you out of it.

He has slow rolled this whole thing so far, and now the sports world is going to be shocked when they have to bow down to the next dynasty maker.

Losing twice to Michigan in the same season would be tough for Wisconsin. Michigan owes it to them though after they smacked them around this year.
