USA Today...The five most beloved fanbases in college football

Some of the nicest people I have met were LSU fans in Omaha for the college world series. They talked kinda funny, but were always friendly and welcoming.

See that's the thing. LSU baseball fans and football fans are 2 completely different categories. I much rather LSU baseball fans than the football fans. I am a huge baseball fan for the Tigers as well, and I can tell you there is a clear cut undeniable difference between the two sets of fans.

through good times & bad times those teams always seem to top the list in merchandise sales & fill up their stadiums. plus they get a ton of support for their non-football sports as well

It's most beloved fan bases. Meaning fan bases that others like.

Notre Dame would not be on this list, as us Irish fans are not liked at all.

But, we would be #1 for most passionate, loyal fan bases.

You can't let one small fraction of a fan base distort your opinion. LSU fans are great sports who take extreme pride in their team. I actually have no problem with Alabama fans. They are generally cocky but the recent success would give anyone big cajones.

This has as much credence as those "sexiest man alive" or hottest woman surveys. Who cares, unless you are sleeping with one of them.

Tell you what, you cheer for your team, I'll cheer for mine.
