Irving has looked good with team USA. In stark contrast with his reputation, one of his biggest contributions has been active, pesky defense on the opposing point guard. He played well in the Brazil game, particularly in turnover-forcing defense.

Forcing turnovers is one of the main gameplan's for USA because they are 1,000 times better than every other team in transition, while just marginally better at half-court offense.

If you've actually watched this team play, you've seen the good job Irving has done on defense forcing turnovers.

Lillard, Korver, Parsons, and Hayward were cut.

Coach K didn't feel the need for more than 1 SF obviously as they assume that I guess they can play some of their SG at SF at times. The only true SF left is Gay

3 PG, 3 SG, 3 C, 2 PF, and 1 SF.

A different coaching staff may very well have picked the other way around.

It was fun to watch Rose and Klay play together. Damn Klay would look good in a bulls uniform and with that lineup. I know it will never happen. A man can dream.

I am team Lillard all the way and think he is the better pg.

But, he wasn't in Camp.

Outside of Curry and Davis, Kyrie was the most impressive player...imo.

I'm fine with the roster. It's pretty much exactly who I would have picked except I would have put in Korver over Plumlee. I think we could have used more scoring out of the SF spot, which Korver can play. But I see what they're going for. It's more traditional based, heavy emphasis on the main guard and center spot (which Davis will play). And since Davis, Cousins, and Drummond are prone to fouling at times, it's a safety net to have another big on the roster in Plumlee.

I agree. But Kyrie will be a star, the pressure is off of him, he has the best player in the world on his team and a top 5 player. He will have open looks and chances he has never imagined, he will transform as a player and it should help him on defense bc he doesn't have to carry the team.

Well numbers wise he is IMO. If we are adding titles and accomplishments, that means Duncan, Wade, and Kobe are all in the top 5.

There are several Superstars.

But, only 2 Megastars, Bron and Durant.

They are the only 2 guys that can singlehandedly make you a contender.

But, CP3, Curry, Tony Parker, K Love, Aldridge are in the next tier.

Add them to an established core and they can put you over the top.

What do they have that the Celtics would want?

I read earlier last week that the 76ers will likely take Amare at the deadline to get to the minimum salary threshold.

So, I could see a 3-team deal going down had the 76ers not traded Thad to Minny.

Now, what's in it for Ainge?

Unless the 76ers are willing to part with a pick.

Rondo and Melo would be a great duo in NY and would give the Cavs some competition for Love if things fall apart in Ohio.
